"My name isn't Mini. It's Noah," I stated boldly. He cocked his head, almost demon-like as if I pissed him off and he wanted to rip my head off. I continued whispering, trying not to get caught by the teacher. "Why do you hate me so much?" I asked in a crushed, defeated manner.

"How about you just pay attention?" He asserted before raising his hand, trying to alert the teacher.

"Yes, Mr. Rivers?"

"Bathroom, I gotta go to it," Lucas stood up and left the room, leaving me alone at the table. I opened my bag, grabbed a random sheet of lined paper and a blue lead pencil. I placed the paper on the table and started to draw. Lucas had come back and taken his seat beside me, while I was focusing on paper.

"What's that?" Lucas asked, slightly curious as he looked down at a detailed eyeball.

"Why do you care?" I shifted the paper and his body away from Lucas, making it impossible for him to see what I was doing.

"This class has nothing else to offer. C'mon, don't be petty," Lucas rolled his eyes and looked at the front of the class, focusing on what the teacher was saying. I snuck a look at Lucas when he noticed he was actually upset. I assumed I won and he can stop being a prick, but looking at him closely, I realized he probably was actually upset.

"It's an eye. Just a plain, random eyeball that I decided to draw," I answered rudely.

"Damn Mini, why the attitude?" Lucas asked and smirked. I decided I'd just deal with the name. In the back of my head, I thought it was cute that he had a nickname for me. "I'm gonna nap, tell me when the class ends." I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"I guess," I looked at him as he placed his head in between his arms which he cuffed together to make a bowl shape. I continued to sketch, not paying mind to the teacher who clearly didn't care since I'm new and assuming Lucas just doesn't care.

It looked late when I looked up at the clock. I could tell we've been here for at least an hour.

"So, students! Next class, we are having a quiz on the periodic table. Remember the elements," Mr. Quinn sat back down at his desk. The bell began to buzz, an unpleasant sound that told every student it was time to go to their next class.

"Lucas, Lucas," I called and shook for him to awaken. His large body barely budged. "Come on, I am not being late to my next class for this. Lucas!" I begged, continuing to shake him until his head finally lifted.

"What the hell do you want?" He questioned me angrily whilst falling back into his slumber.

"You told me to wake you up, everyone is gone and I'm pretty sure the teacher is getting annoyed," I took hold of his arm, "please, just get up." He came back to reality, opening his eyes and glaring at me.

"Yeah yeah, just go. I'll leave eventually," he suggested and waved his hand in a 'leave' motion. I did as he said and exited the room, looking back one more time before shutting the door behind me. I grabbed my schedule from my pocket and opened the paper. Seeing that I had math next I sighed. It's probably one of the worst classes to have.

"Noah!" I heard a familiar voice call from behind me. I cocked my head to the left only to see Millie. I gave her a soft grin. I waved to her as she caught up to me and patted my back. "How was your first period?" She seemed excited to hear my answer.

"Eh, it was alright. I didn't really get it," I lied. I actually enjoyed it, I think.

When lunch came, I found Millie and decided I'd sit with her. I didn't eat anything because the lines were too long and the kitchen area was too hot. When I caught up with Millie after she grabbed her salad for lunch, we sat at an empty table with a few people at the end. "Millie," I suddenly said, resting my chin on my hand.

"Hmm? Yes?" She blinked a few times replying confusedly.

I looked around, searching for Lucas's face, but found him nowhere. "Never mind, just... just forget it."

"No, tell me," she begged.

"I think I like someone," I blurted out. Nervous she wouldn't accept me if I told her it wasn't a female. Her eyes widened, showing her interest.

"Spill the tea, what's the 4-1-1?" She was suddenly overcome by curiosity.

"Remember the guy I was sitting next to on the bus? Yeah, I have to sit by him in chemistry and I don't know... I just enjoyed being by him," I looked away, hand still holding my head.

Millie looked at me with a false hope expression and let me down slowly., "Lucas Hineridge? Yeah, good luck on that one." She then opened her mouth again. "Not only is he one 100% straight, but no one has ever gotten with him, not even Lisa Knowles... "queen bee" of this damned place." Obviously, at this point, I have the mindset of shooting Millie with a bazooka because she crushed any hope I had of getting with Lucas. When lunch ended, I found my way to my next class, although I got lost, went in late, and banged my knee on the corner of the deck and screamed like a newborn child. It was not fun, boring in fact.

School ended and I found myself searching for my bus which after many minutes found and climbed onto it. I didn't see Millie and I saw no free seats to place my bottom on. When suddenly I felt a pull on my backpack and fell backward. To my surprise was a drunken Lucas.

"Hey buddy," Lucas burped.
