(I was thinking about just making a calm chapter between Lucas and Noah to bring them closer. Ah, and I'll be incorporating Millie in very soon because she's great and holds huge plot armor. She'll be great for this story. Enjoy!!)
I woke up under his shirtless torso, his tight form squeezing me with a firm grip. It was soothing. His body felt great also, but just knowing he was right beside me... it made me feel safe. I'm new here and to know I have people like him and Millie helps cope with the fact that I won't be going back to Delaware anytime soon.
I heard him yawn softly, almost like a kitten.
He tiredly asked, "You awake Mini?" He looked down at my fake sleeping body. I decided to open my eyes and peer back into his.
"Yes, but I'm still so tired," I said, groaning under my breath. "By the way, we're not allowed outside my mom said. She has this rule where I can't go outside since I didn't go to school,"
"Fair enough. Hey, can I meet your parents? I didn't really give them a proper introduction, seeing that you shoved me in here," he jokingly said, teasing me.
"I guess so," I agreed. He released his grip around me and he sprung up, onto the floor. I frowned. I wanted to continue feeling his chest on me and continue sleeping next to him. I watched him stretch, flexing his muscles in every direction he moved. It was almost as if he was purposely showing off to swoon me. "Can you put a shirt on? They might get the wrong impression."
"Oh yeah, almost forgot," he said, scratching the name of his neck. I watched him reach down to grab his grey shirt as I sat on the bed. He raised his arms whilst he wrapped his body within the shirt. "Okay, ready." He smiled before giving a child-like thumbs up.
We stepped down the stairs until we reached a hallway that led to the living room. I looked in each room, incapable of finding my parents. However, when I walked into the kitchen, I noticed an empty envelope with black ink written across the paper. It read,
Noah,
Your father and I are going out for our anniversary. We'll be back a little late. I don't want you outside, but you and your friend are welcome to do whatever. I've left $20 for you if you and him get hungry. Okay, we'll be back around 10:30.Love,
Mom.I softly bit my lip before crumbling the paper into a ball and tossing it into the trash can. "They won't be home for hours, so we have the house to ourselves," I shared, nodding my head in content.
"What do you wanna do until then? Hmm?" He sounded curious. I knew what he was thinking, but I didn't want his dirty mind corrupting mine.
"We can watch movies, if you'd like," I calmly suggested. His towering body pondered. We had an entire house to ourselves and no supervision. Ugh, why am I thinking about him like this?!
"That sounds good. Horror? I love horror!" His thrilled voice broke my ears.
"Are you insane? I hate horror movies. Not my style," I denied, shaking my head. He used his index and middle finger to rise my chin and look into his eyes.
"I'll protect you if anything goes wrong. You'll be fine Mini," he assured me. Something in me however was still not fond of the idea. "You have nothing to worry about."
"Promise me then. Promise you'll stay right next to me," I surrendered. I had to give in, he was just so happy about the idea of watching a movie with me.
"I swear on my life that I will stick by your side until the ending of the movie. You have my word," he added. I sighed and stormed into the living room where I found the remote control lying in the center of the sofa. I took hold of it and sat down, him following suit. I faced the remote toward the television and scrolled through the "On-Demand" section until I found horror movies. "I'll let you choose the movie." I felt my cheeks turn a dusty pink, rising in temperature when I felt him slide closer to me. I continued to search until I found one that heard him gasp to. Assuming he wanted to watch it, I pressed play and waited for it to start.
I sank back into the sofa, whining and whimpering to every scene that occurred. Everything about the movie frightened me, even the beginning, where the teens looked so happy to die.
It was extremely brutal, blood splattering and screams in every direction. I covered my lips, wincing to the jump scares that popped up every once in awhile. I noticed his legs spread out around me as he pulled me closer to his torso, wrapping him toned arms around my waist, his head resting atop mine.
"Are there any scenes where someone isn't bent viciously murdered?" I questioned. I heard him chuckle.
He replied, "Maybe the point of a horror movie is to scare the living crap out of you. It's expected." I pouted, crossing my arms in my lap and squeezing my eyes shut. I tried avoiding the movie, but the gruesome sounds left me scarred.
The movie reached its end and I began to cheer in my head as the killer was being killed. Did I know what was happening? No. Did I want to? Absolutely not, but something in me felt happy that I was able to spend this moment with Lucas. As the credits rolled, there was a long silence that entered the room. Do I say anything or do I just continue to stare at the television? I started to babble on about the movie's awfulness and horrific scenes. "It's impossible to even-" I stopped. My words growing silent and my body stiff.
His warm hands gripped my scrawny arms, pressing his lips upon mine.
We kissed...
