Marco's POV

I blushed a bit "S-star... W-what are you doing?" I asked nerviously "What? You need to remember how to dance "Wait, what? Are we going to dance in the ceremony? IN PUBLIC?" "You're acting like if it would be the first time. Anyway, the princess, me, will choose her favourite knight and dance with him" "Are you saying that I am your favourite?" She blushed a bit "Well, yes" "Star... Are you taking advantage of the situation to dance with me again?" "Maybe, hehe. Anyway, you have to practice" "Wait! Whoaaaaa!" She brought me even closer violently "Star, easy..." "C'moooon! This will be fun!" "Yeah, or extremely awkward" "Oh, c'mon, don't be a party pooper" I sighed "Okay, Star" "Yaaaay!" She laid her right hand on my left shoulder, my left arm was wrapping Star's waist and my right hand was grabbing Star's left one. "Ok, for me this have already gone awkward" I said laughing "Pfff, both of us know that this can be even more awkward. Hahaha!" We stared at each other eyes, we started dancing "Remember? One foot to the right, the other one too with a 2 seconds separation" "Yeah, Star, I remember" "Hush. Maybe you forgot something" "Pfff, yeah, sure." "Very well, now the same, but to the left"  "Star, I remember..." "So you remember how to make me spin?" "Of course yes" I made her spin and then back in the position we were when we started dancing... Suddenly talking time ended and Star and I were hypontized looking at each other's eyes. "Uuuuuuh" I tryed to say something "Shhh, don't ruin the moment" Star said. We kept dancing until she tripped on her own foot. "Aaaah!" I grabbed her hand as fast as I could "Got you!" "Oh, thanks, Marco" Both of us were blushing a bit, just a bit... "I think it's time to teach you all the rest" "T-the r-rest?" I asked stuttering. "Yeah, how will the ceremony be, special traditions, you know" "Oh, man... Can I skip this ceremony?" "Nope, unless you don't want to be a knight" "Ugh, ok"

Star's POV

"Well, follow me" I said. "Uh, ok... Where are we going?" "I'm not going to teach you all the the rest, Frederick will" "Emm, who's Frederick?" "He's the Mewni traditions expert" "Oh, ok." "Well, Star... I need you to promise me something" "Of course, what?" "Promise me this ceremony won't become an awkward moment" We stopped "Oh, Marco... I would love to promise you that, but I don't think it's possible for us dance a waltz and not being awkward, you know?" "Well... At least try your best" "haha, ok" We continued walking until we arrive to Frederick's officine. I knocked the door "Come in" Frederick said "Oh, princess Star, good morning! Have you forgotten how to dance a waltz again?" "Nope, not this time. He's the problem" "Problem?" Marco asked with an upset tone "Haha, just kidding. His name's Marco, he's my best friend. He's an earthling, so he needs your help" "So, Marco, you are a knight, aren't you?" Frederick said "Well... I undestood that I'm not a knight until the ceremony. Is there something special I need to now about the ceremony?" "Actually, yes. Plenty" "Uh, ok" "Well Frederick, I think I let you two alone. See you later!" "Bye, Star". I left the room. I was going to my room when someone touched my shoulder. "Uh? Oh, mom. Good morning" "Good morning, Star! Are you ready for our special spells class?" Queen Moon asked "What?" "Star, I told you yesterday" "Oh, yes! I remember it now, heheh" "Well... Where do you want to practice, Star?" "Since when do I decide where I practice my spells, huh?" "Since you've grown up, haha!" 'Mom laughed, wow... Mom doesn't laugh often' I thought. "Mom, are you happy?" "Of course yes! My daughter's finally prepared to be queen!" "I'm not prepared at all" "Ok, almost. Anyway, where do you want to practice this new spells?" "In my room, I suppose." Effectively, went to my room. "Are you ready?" Mom said "Sure thing!" "It's a spell that literally reorganizes the entire room in one second. Extend your arms like this and say 'Organizer beam' " "Just like that? 'Organizer beam'? It's...  not original at all, hahaha!" "Just cast it already!" "Ok, ok" I extended my arms "Organizer beam!" Everything in the room floated to its place in one second. "Wow! This is INCREDIBLE!" ,  "I know! Ok, here comes the second one. It's super easy and useful, in fact, you've already used it. Levitato, remember? "Oh, yeah, yeah. Can I cast it with my hands? "Of course!" "Try with that pillow on your bed" "Ok... Levitato!" The pillow started to levitate "Oh, my gosh. This is SUPER COOL" I shouted "Now, back to your bed, slow" "Okaaaaay... There! I did it! Wait, why do I need levitato when I have the Organizer beam?" "The Organizer beam can't make things flote as you want" "Oh, that's right" "Well, here comes the third and last... This is a very, VERY powerful spell with terrible consecuences, it's only for emergencies" the got serious "Ok, I got it"

Marco's POV

Frederick started teaching me the simple things like behaviour, clothing, etc. Then he talked about how the ceremony is "First the queen gives every knight a medal, then the knights promise defend the kingdom no matter what, then a loooong speech, then the princess chooses her favourite knight and dances with him. Finally, a corn feast. Got it?" "Sure anything special I should know" "Nope, but I'll give you an extra advice" "Ok, sure" "Star Butterfly is not like any other girl, you know?" "Of course not! She's special" "Well, she will choose you" "I know, she told me before" "No, Marco... I'm not talking about the dance, I'm talking about her life" "Huh?" "Don't you get it? She likes you and you like her back, or not?" My eyes widened "What?! How do you know that- I mean, Why are you saying that?!" "Oh, Marco... You seem like a good guy. You'll be a great king" "WHAT?! NO, NO! OF COURSE NOT! I'M NOT WITH STAR!" "No? Pfff, it's a matter of time... Anyway, our class is over" "Uhm, okay... Bye, Frederick" "Good look with Star!" I heard him say between laughs.

'Damn, it's so obvious that I like Star?' I asked to myself. 'Of course it is, you kissed her, idiot'. I responded to myself. I walked to Star's room. She was practicing a spell with Queen Moon, so I waited outside, thinking... After 20 minutes, Moon came out from Star's room "Oh, Marco, how long have you been waiting here?" "Like 20 minutes, I didn't want to disturb Star and you while practicing spells" "Oh, thanks for not interrupting. She's inside. See you later" I entered to Star's room, she was making things flote. A floating book hit me "Ouch, Star, what are you doing?" "Levitatoing things!" "Well, be careful" "Sorry, Marco" "It's okay... I wish I could 'levitatoate' things, this is incredible!" "I am incredible, don't forget that" "Haha! sure thing, Star" "Well... How was your 'class' " "It was ok, I think. Now I'm truly ready for this ceremony!" "Oh, really? I don't think so... You have to practice dancing, hehe" "Star, no. I'm okay, it's just an one minute dance with you, it's impossible to fail!" "Well... Maybe for you, but for me... I'm not such a great dancer like you" "Star, I know you dance incredibly" "Oh, c'mon, just one song!" She made the puppy eyes. "UUUUGGGGHHH, I CAN'T RESIST THAT FACE! FINE, JUST ONE SONG!" "Yaaaay!". "I'll put a random waltz in my cellphone, ok?" "Sounds good" "Aaaand, there" the waltz began to be played. We put ourselves in position "You happy, princess?" "Hehe, yeah" we stared at the other one's eyes... Again. We were completely lost, our bodies were moving by itselves. Then that 'One song' turned into 3... 6... 10...

Star's POV

I couldn't say anything... Nor want to. That moment was perfect. We were one person. We weren't even paying attention to the steps... Just Marco and me... When the 10th song finished, we stopped. I felt butterflies in my stomach, my heart was beating super, super fast. Marco started caressing my left cheek, he came closer to me and closed his eyes... But as the idiot I am I ruined the moment "M-Marco... W-what are you d-doing?" Marco opened his eyes and moved away from me "HUH? OH, MY GOD, SORRY, SORRY!! I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS MAKING FEEL YOU UNCOMFORTABLE, I GOT CARRIED AWAY!" "NO, NO, IT'S OKAY, IT'S OKAY!! I STARTED ALL OF THIS, I'M SORRY!!" There... The long awkward silence... Luckyly, Marco said something "I... I'm going to my room now, ok?" He left my room. Then I said to myself: 'This is terrible... I really like Marco! I don't want to lose him, but here comes the problem... He want us to be a couple... He've just tried to kiss me. I've just ruined the moment I've been waiting for too long: just us, without pression, a romantic moment. This has gone really, really far...
