Chapter 12
*Emma's POV*
I was having a wonderful time here with George in the camp fire. It was truly amazing. We are getting to know each other even more and becoming good friends. The fire in front of us kept us warm and we were sharing a comfy blanket of his to keep us more warm.
I felt like something was wrong so I looked around and noticed that Elsa went somewhere. I excuse myself from George and head into our tents to find weather she's in there, but she doesn't go to sleep early and we love camp fires. On my way to the tent I even noticed that Austin was also missing.
As I open up and look inside the tent I see Austin holding a book and that book is Elsa's private journal.
I go up to him and see the poem written on it and look at Austin's face. He was shocked and his eyes were in panic and so were mine.
I head out and run into the woods to find her. I didn't bother about what anyone else was going to think or was about to tell I just ran.
It was dark and gloomy, but I wasn't scared as there aren't such things as ghosts.
I know how Elsa's footprints are so I follow them and run more deeper into the woods. I hear some small cries. I try to find out behind which tree she was hiding. I finally spot her after a long time and I run up to her and give her a warm and friendly hug to make sure she's okay.
She wasn't okay, her eyes were red even though it was too dark I could see her eyes. She looked so sad like no one cared for her and her eyes were swollen.
"Is everything okay?" I ask her. She doesn't reply she cries more. "Common Elsa tell me what's wrong?" I ask her again and this time I get an answer, "everything is wrong" but it was more of a whisper than an answer and she cried even more and I could see that she was trying to control the sobs.
"How is everything wrong?" I ask her, seeing my best friend cry makes me more sad than what she was right now. "No one cares" again a whisper type of an answer. "What do u mean no one cares?"
"Nicholas and Meg are always together they don't bother about anything which is going on, Austin, he just keeps on talking about Lily or Lila or whatever his girlfriends names is, I can't bear that pain. I wanted to come and stay with you but you were talking to George and he's your very first crush so I didn't bother."
After what she said right now I had tears in my eyes, no wonder Elsa was feeling really left out. I should have made time for my best friend, what a friend am I? "I'm so sorry Elsa, I should've made time for you but I was just too busy with him.. I'm sorry, it'll never happen-"
She cuts me off, "No, no! You can't do that, he's your first crush and I want you to no show happy you ca be if u had a person to always support you, and this camp isn't for very long so you have to spend maximum time with him." She tells me with a weak smile.
I smile too knowing how supportive, honest and kind person she is a chug her. "Do you want to go back?" I ask her. She just nods, both Elsa and I head back to the campfire.
When we head there we see that everyone is in such a panic as to where we disappeared. I look at George and give him a small smile telling him that nothing is wrong and everything's going to be just fine.
"Where were you? Are you okay? Did you get any hurt or something?" Austin immediately comes up to Elsa and rushes her with these question. Elsa doesn't reply she looks at me and gives me the pleading look so that I can tell him what's wrong.
"Nothing's wrong, she just felt lonely that's all, thanks." I said to him with a smile. He look at else with a sorry look, looks back at me and goes and sits next to George.
I go to our tent and just tell Elsa to sleep, she gets too stressed and it's bad for her. I go out and tell everyone that we're going to sleep. Everyone nods and I look over and George, giving him a look to tell him to come meet me.
I go a little far from the campfire and wait for him to come, within minutes he's there standing in front of me. "I'm sorry we couldn't spend much time together tonight." I tell him with a weak smile.
"It's okay, I get that Elsa had some problem and you needed to go and help her." Man! He's understands everything, he's just amazing. "Thank you by the way, I got to know more about you and I liked how long I got to spend with you." He just smiles and we go to the campfire.
I head towards my tent and he heads towards the group but before I get into the tent he gives me a wink and I can't help but blush and get into the tent. I set up the sleeping bad and fall asleep thinking of George.
