(Yugyeom)
Deep breaths, deep breaths. I whispered to myself as I pushed open the door. "How was school?" He said from behind his newspaper. "The usual." He muttered failure under his breath as I walked up the stairs. I smiled, he couldn't be more right. "Yugyeom. Did you think I wouldn't know you were skipping class?" I chocked on air and I spun around to face him. "Did you think it would go unpunished?" He wore a delvilsh smile as he stepped into my room and closed the door. My vision blurred as I stumbled backwards "you have ten seconds to explain to me why you skipped class." "Nothing to explain." I said in a hushed whisper. I jumped when his hand landed on my shoulder lightly "are you sure?" I nodded slowly there was no use explaining anything to him. "Thats a real shame." He said calmly before my head jerked to the side and my check stung. The air rushed out of my lungs as he punched me directly in the stomach before catching me as I fell. I tried to speak but nothing came, I couldn't breath, I was suffocating. He leaned down right next to my ear and growled "skip class again and this will have been a walk in the park." my mothers voice rang through the room "aww im glad you weren't to hard on him, its nice to see you two hug it out." that bastard, he made himself look like a saint in front of her somedays. "No dinner tonight." My father said sternly before slamming the door closed. I glanced in the mirror and froze, my cheek was becoming a nasty purple hand print. I took a deep breath and lifted my shirt, a wave of  nausea washed over me. My stomach had bloomed into a black and blue mess. I slowly crawled to my bathroom, come on, please let the pain pills still be there.  To my surprise they were exactly where I'd left them and I quickly swallowed two. I couldn't let anyone see these... I had two options. Hope I could cover them or lock my door and play sick. The devil would help me cover and keep my mom out. My eyes landed on a bottle of sleeping pills id stolen out of the bathroom cabinet and I grabbed a handful, desperation washed over me. But as if fate had frowned donw on my pathetic attempt at relief my phone rang and the angels name flashed on the screen. "hello?" I whispered into the phone, "yugyeom? Are you alright? You said you'd come by to get fitted for the suit and you never showed up." I felt tears threaten to fall as I took a deep breath "I just started feeling sick and uhh... Just didn't want to get you sick." I cringed at the lie as I met my own gaze in the mirror. I looked horrible, dark circles under my eyes, sickly skin, a purple cheek. "I look and feel like death ran me over. I doubt I'll be at school tomorrow. Why dont you skip too? I cant protect you if I'm not there." the silence on his end was driving me mad, "bam?" "Sorry! I was packing some things to bring you tomorrow. What type of soup do you like?" Panic flooded my system "I uhh I dont think that's a good idea. I would feel terrible if I got you sick and-" i heard him laugh "nonsense. You need to be taken care of. I'll be over there tomorrow at around eight. So be prepared to do absolutely nothing and rest." The line went dead and I slammed my head onto the counter. Why did everything have to be so difficult? I cleaned up my mess while silently cursing at my own weakness, he needed me what kind of selfish bastard was I? My door knob wiggled and I froze "honey? Are you asleep? Your father said you didn't feel well." I scooted closer to the door and leaned against it, this was as close as I could get to anyone. He always makes everything I do seem wrong, makes me the bad guy. I remained silent as her footsteps fadded, as a child I learned i could love her but I couldn't trust her. She believed in my father a hundred and ten percent. Everything he did was right and he wasnt capable of wrong. I grabbed my pillow and blanket and curled into the tub, this was my safe place when I was hurt. As I closed my eyes and sleep took over I remembered I had bam, Jackson, and Mark. I wasn't alone.
