As the days passed, I kept finding parts of the Royal map.
It was the fifth day and I was supposed to go to Vermont.
It was cold, really cold, but I needed to focus. The fourth piece said something with a number, a 464. So I started searching for a Resort or a Hotel. I walked a lot until I got lost.
What was even worse than not finding the fifth clue? Getting lost before finding it.
Great.
I kept walking until I saw smoke,far away,like smoke from a cabbin.
I walked faster and faster, the smoke was closer.
Until I saw the cabbin. I double check it and I saw a number in the wall! It was the number in the fourth piece! 464.
I found the number in a cabin and knocked.
I could hear muffled voices inside,
"LIAM! OPEN THE DOOR, SOMEONE'S KNOCKING!"
Who I guess was an old lady, said.
"IM COMING GRAMS!" A boy screamed back and just then the door opened.
My first thought was 'WOW...', of course I didn't say that out loud, but I'm pretty sure my face betrayed me.
Standing in front of me was a guy, and when I say guy , I don't mean just 'any' guy , I mean drop-dead gorgeous kind of guy.
He had beautiful hazel eyes and light brown hair.
He could not be older than eighteen,he seemed to be about... 2'6 ft tall ...
Okay, now I sounded like a total stalker.
"What?" He asked
I froze.
"Are you done checking me out?" He grinned.
"No, no, no. Sorry. The thing is that..." I started, but he interruped me.
"Where did you get that necklace?" He asked me, his eyes seemed darker, like he recognized it....
But, he couldn't, could he?
"Ohh!..That...My dad gave it to me." I looked down , remembering about him.
"And where's your dad?" He asked me.
Curious much?
"At the cementery tomb number 61." I answered, rudely.
"Ohh. I'm so sorry. I had no idea." He told me and looked down, as if he was embarrassed.
"No problem. It's okay. I'm over it." I said and smiled a little.
"And why did he give it to you?" He asked, again.
"Okay. Seriously I don't even know you and you want me to tell you all my life? I don't even know your name." I was getting angry, who does he think he is?
"You're right sorry. I'm Liam, Liam Herondale." He smiled.
"Hi. I'm Alison Fields." I returned the smile, and I realized couldn't stop smiling.
"Okay...so...Ali...Do you mind if I ask,why are you here?" He asked, his voice trembled, as if he was scared.
"I came for the fifth part of the Royal Map." I asked seriously.
His face darkened. "You're looking for The Elixir of Fire." He said.
It was not a question, it was a statement.
"Come in." He stepped aside.
