(Mat Pat POV)

The girl lead us outside, and around the house, every now and then, backtracking and taking another path. On our walk I realized how incredibly beautiful the scenery was. I realized that Stephane and I wouldn't get to enjoy this trip the way I has planned. We finally reached a large hill of rocks that blocked our view of the ocean. "Here. This is where I woke up. On top of there. If it helps, I could climb up and show you." She said. I could tell that The girl was already having trouble getting to the pile, "no it's ok," I said, trying to be reassuring, "you can just guide us from down there"
She looked annoyed, but slightly relived. "Alright Matthew, just like Donky Kong, just go up, and try not to be hit by any falling objects." She tried to sound cheerful even though I could tell the steepness was intimidating to her as well. "Yeah but you get three lives in donkey Kong." I mumbled under my breath. "What?" The little girl said, being too distracted by some bird. "Nothing" I laughed under my breath, a tragic, terrifying time like this and Steph and I are making retro game references. I laughed  to myself. "Ok, lets go" I said, grabbing Steph's hand, squeezing it tightly, then let go to start climbing.

The rocks were sharp and slippery, it was a wonder that the girl had gotten down to the beach in one piece. When we got to the top of the hill there was a steep drop. I was already wheezing halfway up, try as she might, Steph couldn't get me to do the shake weights after we finished filming that infomercial gtlive. Now I'm regretting that I didn't try it at least once again. Steph was also out of breath, we both sort of collapsed on our backs in the grass up top. Laughing between breaths, and making snarky comments under our breath.  Steph flipped to her stomach, and I watched her smile quickly fade as her eyes darted around. I quickly turned around only to see somthing horrible.
A boat. A lifeboat to the looks of it. It was worn away, and there was a large hole in the side. Below the hole, was the words "the Quinn" written in chipped white paint. But that's not  the part that was awful. It was the blood flowing from under the boat. I looked to Steph but she was already making her way down the sandy hill to get to it. "Stephane wait!" I yelled to her. I reached her as she was trying to flip the boat over. I couldn't stop her when she was determined, so I helped. My knee banged agenst the metal and I yelped. "Everything ok!?" Yelled the girl, barely autable over the crashing waves. "Yup!all good here!" I yelled. Then she yelled something back, I didn't hear it clearly though.
We finally got the boat tipped over, the first thing that I noticed was the stench, it hit Steph and I like a wreaking ball, we both stumbled back coughing. The boat was covered in a brown grime, there was rotted, sunruiened fish bones at the bottom, a swarm of gnats flew in our faces. We spat and waved at the air. The worst part by far was the man at the bottom. Long dead and a horrible sight. I gagged and grabbed Stephane and we stepped back together. We were so horrified by the sight in front of us, that we haven't noticed the girl running down to the boat, only to scream and sink down to her knees when she saw the contents on the boat. Steph and I calmed down, a bit. Steph got down on the sand with the girl
"Ok, you have to work with me a bit here, does this help at all? do Did you know this man? Do you know this boat?" She asked is such a voice that calmed everything around her. Somthing I had always been a bit jealous of. The girl shook her head. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I don't I don't"
"That's ok," I said, then I wondered, "does the word Quinn ring a bell?"
The girl stopped for just a moment. Searching her brain.
"I-yeah I think so. I know it but I don't know how."
"We can give you some time to think" Steph said, rising to her feet. "Let's just get back to the house first."
The girl and I both nodded vigorously, and I tried not to puke again. We made our way
Back to the house when I asked, "Well, we seem to be in a bit of a situation Heere, since I think you'll be staying with us for a while, what should we call you?" Steph nodded in agreement to my statement. The girl thought for a moment, but didn't give anything answers. Then Steph spoke "How about Quinn? Since it's something farmiler, And maybe saying it a lot could trigger your memory." The girl nodded in agreement. "Ok, Quinn sounds good."
We walked a bit longer and I heard her practice under her breath,

"Quinn."
