chapter three - just getting started

"Wish I could back in life not to change shit, just to feel a couple things twice."

THE next day came along and I was no longer in the mood to get up early in the morning remembering that he goes to the same high school that I go to. Not that it's bothering me or anything, but it is bothering me. A lot more than it should be.

I brushed my teeth, got dressed in casual clothing; jeans, a shirt with a jacket and white converse. I stared at myself in the mirror for a moment, looking at what I was wearing and shrugged my shoulders, grabbing my bag and threw the strap over my shoulder, grabbing my keys and my phone. I walked out of my room and walked down the stairs, thinking about how I'm going to live on my own for the next two months alone in this house.

"Dad, I'm going! I'll see you after school!" I yelled out as I walked out of the door, closing it behind me.

Driving to school was the same as yesterday. Grabbed my drink from Starbucks, left a tip, continued to drive while I took occasional sips from the drink. I parked my car, sighing to myself and got out, hoping today would go by fast like yesterday.

I walked inside the building, putting a few textbooks in my locker and closed it, walking to homeroom. I'm hoping I wouldn't bump into Jackson today or else it's gonna be another day of hell in my hands.

"Hi, I'm sorry but do you know where Mr. Harris' room is?" a girl asked. I gave her a smile and nodded. "Yeah, I'm headed over there right now. I'm Sabrina," I said, introducing myself to the girl who began to walk with me to homeroom. "Allison, so you're the new girl I'm hearing about?" she asked.

I laughed and nodded my head, "Most likely. People just can't keep their mouth shut these days, can they?" I stated and we both laughed together, walking inside homeroom and I took my seat. I looked around to see if there was an empty seat and the only seat was next to a male, maybe around our age. Allison looked at me with a slight smile as she sat down next to him and I let out an exhausted sigh. It was only 7:40 in the morning and it's already been a terrible day.

"Already sighing on your second day of school, Sabrina?" a familiar voice spoke and I turned to look at who was talking to me. A smile immediately appeared on my face, shaking my head. "Just hoping I won't have to see his face today."

"Jackson?" asked Scott and I nodded my head, watching him take his seat next to me. "You know, you never really mentioned him when you were telling me about yourself," he mentioned and I shrugged my shoulders, watching Jackson walk in the room with a smirk on his face. "Let's just say he's not important to me anymore."

Lunch came around and I was more than happy that it did. I met up with Allison in the cafeteria and we both waited in line to get our lunch. We exchanged information about each other, where we both came from and it turns out Allison moved from San Francisco.

"Wow, New York City?" asked Allison as we both sat down at an empty table. I laughed, nodding my head. "Yeah, big city, big people. Important people, too," I said and began to eat my lunch. "Did you meet any celebrities there?" Allison questioned and I shrugged. "A couple but they were totally what I was not expecting."

My eyes scanned the cafeteria seeing Scott and who I'm going to assume is his friend looking for a table to sit and enjoy their lunch. Scott made eye contact with me and began to walk to the table Allison and I were at. They both sat down and I glanced at his friend. "Who's your friend, Scott?" I asked and Scott began to speak before he was interrupted by his friend.

"My name's Stiles, pleasure to meet you," he said, introducing himself to Allison and I. I nodded, smiling, "Sabrina, this is my new friend Allison," I introduced her to Stiles. "Oh, we know. Uh, I mean, nice to meet you, Allison," He mumbled, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

We all chatted and shared laughs together. Scott looked at me with warning eyes, saying that Jackson was on his way to our table. I pulled my phone out as it began to ring, furrowing my eyebrows at the caller ID and pressed the cancel button.

"Wonderful day we're having, aren't we, Sabrina?" asked Jackson and I sighed, standing up. "Sure, for an asshole like you, I'm sure you're having a wonderful day taunting me," I stated, glaring at him and he laughed.

"You don't get it, Jackson, do you? Take the hint or else I won't be so nice next time," I continued, feeling a slight headache coming as my phone continued to ring. I shook my head, taking my bag and walked out of the cafeteria.

I answered the call and immediately spoke into it. "Hey, do you have a minute to come and pick me up?" I asked and I listened to the other end, smiling. "Perfect, I'll be waiting outside."

I was walking down the street, my head throbbing in pain from the party last night. It was the second day that I moved to Beacon Hills and Dad thought it would be a good idea to make me go to a party and get used to the place that we'll be staying in for quite a while.

"Gosh, what the hell did I do last night?" I mumbled to myself and rubbed my temples with both of my hands, continuing to walk close to the curb of the street. A car pulled up next to me, and I looked over the car, stopping in my tracks. My first instinct was to run, and that's what I did. Heels weren't exactly the type of shoes to be running in. I was running incredibly fast and I looked behind my shoulder to see whoever was in the car was running behind me. I trip over myself, hitting my head on the cement and I groan in pain.

Two hands grab my arms to help me get up and I began to struggle to get myself free from the person's grip. "Let go of me!" I yell, starting to hit his chest but his grip only tighten. "Listen to me, your head's bleeding and I'm your only option at two o'clock in the morning, alright?" He said. He was right on the bleeding part, I felt blood running down on my forehead and I sighed in defeat.

Soon, we were at his place, at an abandon house. I furrowed my eyebrows together. "Isn't this the Hale house I've been reading about?" I asked and I turned to look at the man who brought me here. "You're looking at the only family of them in front of you." He mumbled, turning to face me. I raised an eyebrow, looking at him. "So that means you're a Hale?" I tilt my head to the side.

He nodded his head and licked his lips, "The Hadid's were quite the nice people my family met. That's why I pulled up next to you," he explained and I shook my head in confusion. "I don't even know you. And even if I did, my dad would've mentioned about your family. This doesn't make any sense."

He sighed out, "Adam was supposed to," he mumbled and walked deeper into the house. I watched him go and disappear into the darkness, sighing to myself. "What the hell?" I said to myself.

"You know you don't have to go swearing off about me out loud," he said aloud, walking back to me and started to patch up the wound that formed when I fell on the cement earlier. "Wait, so you're one of those?"

"I'm one of those."
