Sage drove her care quickly down the narrowing road. No care in her mind she gazed out the window, almost hoping to see something extraordinary. On the radio, she had a calm soft tube playing. She bobbed her head slowly up and down looking ahead of her to see a bundle of traffic and a storm of horns going off one by one. Curiously she leaves her head over the edge of the cars newly opened window she spotted something going down on the street. A sort of fight or crash, it wasn't light either. It seemed as if a truck had crashed into a small car, destroying and trapping the person inside.
"HELP!" Sage heard a women voice scream from ahead. It had to be one of the survivors. "P-please, my son, he needs help!" the voice cried again. Sage's mind flashed back to the accident. Those were her mother's exact words that day. She had to help, she just had to. How was the question, how was a small disabled girl going to help get a car out from under a gigantic truck?
She didn't care at that moment. All she did was without though jump out of the car and run towards the crash at her top speed. Atoll carrying a limp she was slowed down but with her adrenaline pumping she felt like she could do anything. Soon after she made the first move many other people followed there were still a few people at the scene before her but now with more people maybe more could be done.
"how can I help?" a middle-aged man asked kindly with a nervous yet determined face. "call the ambulance asap" one of the women comforting the family in the cars barked like it was a no-brainer. Yeah, it was a time where you souls need to know that but under then reassure and they want to do anything you can it can make you forget the little things.
"what about me? Sage asked concerned asking one of the people seeming to be trying to either open the door to the car or in any way get the people out. "Pray," a man said sadly letting his hands come out from trying to pull the truck up. I nod giving a small teardrop down my eye. There is nothing we can do. The try is to heavy for anyone to lift and the doors are totaled.
"Wait! What is that!" Someone yelled with a hint of pleasure and relief in their voice. Sage looked up at the place everyone was pointing towards. Aage had heard of this, a new 'hero' in Queens. Wasn't the spiderman it? Was his name the spiderman? We're all thoughts running throughout Sage's head on top of the innocent family in mortal peril.
With a swoop, the spider-boy landed on the ground right next to the car. He placed his fingers under the truck and a started to pull it up. "G-get them Out," the not said and we all quickly rushes to the broken window which was big enough for tow boy to fit through. The mother, however, couldn't.
"shit, a hit, shit" the crawler boy sighed taking his strength to move the truck somewhere safe. He then ran over towards the window of the car and punching it in making space just big enough for the women to for though. "C'mon Ma'am, need any help? Or-?" the masked hero mutter towards the women who was climbing through the window in a panic.
Taking in a deep breath Sage began to give in to her better nature and smiled. As she saw the ambulances start to arrive she glanced to the time. She knew that the school would forgive her being late on account of the crash but either way she needed to head of now. With a sigh sage started towards her car and away from the many "thank you"s and "glad you were here"s. Sage neared her car, it was a plain grey and sleek car that she had, she sadly couldn't really drive herself around but with a mom as busy as hers she needed to...lie...a bit. She had never been caught and it wasn't some big deal towards her. She knew she had to do this or get on the bus but her little accident almost made her want to take the bus.
She jumped into her car and slid her legs into in along with her. She adjusted herself into it and started to drive froward. She glanced back once when she got past the crash, the spider-boy was now long gone. She looked forward again as she zoned into her small driving mode. When she awoke from it she had arrived at school. The parking lot was empty of people but full of cars. Through the open windows she saw that classes had already started. With a burst on energy Sage pulled herself towards the school doors which she discovered were locked. She rapped on the glass with a loud bang the secretary stumbled towards the door and opened it with a small fumble of her keys.
"This is what I get when my students are late.." she murmured nonsense as she stubbornly turned back to her desk. "Now where have you been, young lady?" She asked with a snap. "O-oh I was held up at the crash...have you heard?" Sage responded . It was possible she didn't, she did live reasonably away from the school.
"Another one!" The secretary suddenly bursted out throwing her hands up in the air as she once again waddles over to the door. It was a boy, he was in Sage's chemistry class she thought quietly. "What is your excuse?" She lectured him with her deathly scowl. "Uh- crash" he said quickly. "I wasn't in it but- yeah" he trailed off.
"Ok, I've had enough. Get to class.!" She shooed us off and muttered all the way back to her desk on the office.
"H-hey, I'm, Peter" I heard from behind me. I whipped around to see the boy from before. He almost seemed simpler, but why?
