Hey everyone! This is my first ever wattpad story so please don't judge me too harshly! Still getting the hang of everything. I hope you enjoy Asia and Hayden's story! I would also really appreciate it if you took a small part out of your time and give me some feedback, much love! L x
DISCLAIMER: For those who have already read this you may have noticed that I have made a couple of adjustments. One of them being that Asia's half sister who was called Lucy, I have changed her name to Kenya. Secondly, I never mentioned that Asia has an older brother called Jackson (he is nineteen) and younger sister called Mollie (Aged nine). They won't really be mentioned until the fourth or fifth chapter. Sorry if this causes any confusion :]

ASIA:
"You know at some point you should call Isabelle, you can't avoid her forever," I said to my bestfriend Hayden whilst kicking a small rock along the sand.
"Are you sure about that?" he smirked.
"Well from a females perspective, I think I would be pretty pissed if I'd just went on a date with a..." I looked Hayden up and down "...fairly decent looking fellow with hopes that I would see him again, yet coming to the devastating realisation that he never would even spare me a phone call. " I said looking over in his direction.
Hayden lifted his arm and started fiddling with the hair on the back of his head and displayed a rather smug smile, a gesture that often suggested he didn't give a shit.
"Fairly decent?" He said placing his arm around my shoulder "Besides, it's not my fault I'm irresistible."
Although Hayden appeared to be vain I knew he really wasn't, to people who didn't know Hayden he was a shy, pleasent but reserved guy, he always had been, ever since our mothers introduced us to eachother when we were four. I would've been in there straight away with the conversation even though it was probably limited due to our lack of vocabulary and he would've just nodded and smiled or ignored me all together. Eventually, though, we became good friends and went to the same nursery, primary and secondary school as a result of that. Even though at times I wanted to jump into the nearest car and run him over with it, he was always there for me when someone in the playground had teased me or when my parents had an argument he was always there to talk about it with me. Hayden was even there when I decided to meet up with this one guy I had crushed on for ages, Cooper, even though Hayden had insisted that he was a total jerk and I shouldn't go, I ignored him. And we all know how well that ended; tears.
"Race you up the beach? Maybe this time you'll actually win" Hayden winked with a challenging smile
"Oh why the hell not?" I grinned "After three; one...two..." I shot off like a bat out of hell before Hayden could catch up with me.
"Hey! that's not fair! you said three not two!" Hayden shouted from where he stood in bewilderment
"I'm winning!" I shouted in reply
Pumping my arms as hard as I could I started to believe for the first time in history I was going to beat Hayden on one of our many beach races. I let out a small laugh at my own excitement "Snooze you lo-" My words were cut off by the sudden taste of sand in my mouth as my face made contact with the ground. I lay on the floor stunned "what the?" I moaned whilst holding the side of my face. I sat up and saw a solitary piece of driftwood lying about five feet away. I looked up and saw Hayden looming over me. "Are you alright?! looked like you had quite a fall, you should watch where you're running Asia" he said whilst pulling me up "let me see your face" he said gently. Hayden sucked in a small breath "Jesus...your eye looks pretty banged up, maybe we should head back and get that looked at. My mom will be wanting me to cut the lawn anyways" I pouted in reply to show what I thought of what Hayden just said. I hated it when our Saturdays were cut short but despite my disappointment we walked up the rest of the beach in silence whilst I massaged the side of my face.
