Chapter 2: Childhood Friend

Chapter 2

August 30, 2012 - 1:32 AM, Klaris is reading her favorite magazine of 1D or One Direction in her room, when she heard someone walking on their stairs. Curiously, she went outside of her room to look who it is. As Klaris went outside, she saw her brother, Chris, walking towards the fridge. He called him, but, mysteriously, her brother didn't heard her. She thought that her brother is just ignoring her, so she went back to her room, and continued reading her magazine.

Klaris decided to stop reading the magazine since it was already late. As she puts her magazine on her the table, she heard a sound of a broken glass and it was coming from where her brother is. Scared, she went to her mother's room and woke her up, telling her that something is happening down stairs.

As they talk, they heard someone running upstairs, a sound of a person who is running away from a murderer and they heard Chris' door was slammed. So they went infront of his room and knocked at his door. They told him to open the door and asked him what happened. Klaris and her mother doesn't hear anything outside Chris' room. So their mother told Klaris to get the keys and bring it to her.

When they are in Chris' room, he is not on his bed, so they looked under his bed and found him unconcious. Panicking,  Grace, with the help of Klaris, took Chris into the car, and went to the hospital.  Waiting for the doctor, Grace asked Klaris what happened, she said that she heard a sound of a broken glass. So Grace thought that Chris saw someone that had frightened him.

As the doctor comes out of the room, Grace immediately asked the doctor what happened to her son. The doctor answered that his son is fine, and he fainted just because he was frightened. The doctor asked Grace if something traumatic happened to her son.  She said that the day before she fainted Chris witnessed the death of his friend, right infront of his eye. The doctor said that maybe he developed a fear.

As they talk furthermore, the nurse, who assists the doctor assigned to Chris, went out and said that Chris is now concious. Happily, Grace and Klaris went inside and saw Chris who has opened his eyes. They asked him if he's feeling well, and why did he hid under his bed. Chris answered that he saw the person who killed Queenie again at their backyard.  Grace asked him what does that person looks like, but Chris said that he didn't see his face because he wears a white mask and a jacket.After they heard Chris' story about what happened, Grace told him that they will go back to their house to get him some clothes since he'll be confined for 1 day. So they went back to their house and took some clothes of Chris. 

Klaris was very curious about what her brother said, so she went to their backyard and looked if someone really trespassed their house. As she walks towards their gate, she saw a paper. She was very shocked of what was written on that later, so she ran back inside their house and hid the letter in her cabinet. Grace noticed that her daughter is somewhat scared so she asked Klaris what happened to her. Klaris said that she is fine and that they should go because her brother is waiting for them. Grace agreed and went back again to the hospital.

As they enter Chris' room, they saw him sleeping peacefully. Klaris noticed that there is a paper on top of his table, it was said there that they are so late, so he will sleep.  Seeing the letter, Klaris is very happy, because her brother has now returned to normal.  As they fix their things, Klaris asked her mother if her brother's story is true. Grace answered that she will hire security guards now, so that no one can trespass their house anymore. Her worries for her brother has been begone after hearing what her mother said.

 August 31, 2012 - 8:43 AM, They are fixing their things to get home since Chris is now fine. Grace said that next week, he will be attending school at MCL. Chris already knew about this since he took the entrance exam of MCL in Manila before he went back to Laguna. Also Grace said that she will introduce someone to Chris later when they get home. He was somewhat excited when he heard that her mother will introduce someone to him.  Chris is very much fine now compare to the last 2 days, which he can't even talk properly.

11:23 AM, They went back home. As they unload their things they brought to the hospital, a girl, about the same age as Chris, approached Grace. Chris noticed that the girl is talking to his mother casually, so he asked Klaris if she know who's the girl who approached their mother, but Klaris also don't know who the girl is. Grace, who was talking to the girl who approached her, suddenly called Chris. So he approached her mother and asked her who she is. His mother told him that, that is the person she's going to introduce to him, his childhood friend, Josephine.
