Chapter 5: Plan

Chapter 5

When Chris saw the message, he dropped the phone, and escaped from the scene scared and called the teachers. As Chris entered the lobby, he saw his math teacher, Randy, and told him what happened. Surprised, Randy, called the other teachers available at that time and went to look at the scene. As they went at the backyard of the scene, they saw what Chris saw. A box that has a hand in it and over the bushes are the shredded bodies of a girl.

One of the teachers collapsed because of what they saw, others vomitted. Randy called the police and told Chris to stay where he is because he might be interogated. Chris nodded to his math teacher and stayed there quietly. When the police came, they ordered the teachers to get out of the scene for they will begin their investigation. The teachers went back inside the school while Randy and Chris are left. The police asked them why are they still there. Randy told the policeman that Chris is the one who found the dead body first.

The police said okay and ordered Randy to leave the scene and leave Chris there. Before Randy left, he told Chris that everything will be fine and he should be calm because the police will protect him. Chris smiled to him and suddenly, a policeman approached Chris. The policeman introduced himself to Chris. His name is Lance Avendano, a Senior Police Officer III or SPO3. He is about 5'8 tall, and tan. He asked Chris what happened to the girl. Chris told him that he didn't know what happened he was just told to go here because that girl will confess to him.

Lance asked Chris again if he know who might have done this. Chris told him that he only know one person who is capable of doing this and that  person is the one who killed Queenie. Lance asked him who is Queenie. Chris told him that she is someone he met in the train before he arrived at Laguna and she was killed at the train station in Laguna by a person wearing a white mask and a black jacket. Lance was surprised, he told Chris that he knows that and was also assigned to invesitgate that incident. Once again, he asked Chris why are the girls surrounding him are being killed one by one. 

Chris told him that he didn't know why  the girls surrounding him are being targeted by the killer. Lance told him that the reason might be because the killer is jealous. Chris is wondering why would the killer gets jealous to the girls who surrounds him. As he wondered, Lance asked him again if he has an ex-girlfriend or a girl who he tricked. Chris told him that he never had a girlfriend nor a girl he tricked. Lance concludes that it might be a doing of his stalker. He asked Chris if he would like to hear and participate in his plan. Chris told him to tell him his plan.

Lance told him that his plan is to lure the killer by hiring someone to date him and making the killer jealous. Chris asked him what will happen to him and to the girl if ever the killer appeared. Lance explained the plan furthermore, he told Chris that they will be guarding them secretly as they have their date and when the killer appears they will immediately suppress the killer. Chris told him to protect them and he will participate to the plan. Hearing that, Lance shaked his hands with Chris' hands and told him that the plan will happen at September 7, 2012, 9 AM. Chris nodded to him and said okay.

Before Chris left the scene, Lance introduced his subordinate to him. Her name is Joleen, her age is 21, she is quite tall for her age, and have this aura that will make you comfortable whenever you're with her. Joleen told Chris that he should be careful, and she will be looking forward to work with him.  Chris thanked and said that he will be careful. After the introduction, Lance gave his number and told him to call him whenever he feels that something bad is going to happen. Chris saved his number on his phone and gave his address. 

After that, Chris left and went back inside the school. As he enters the school, he noticed that all the students are looking at him. He ignored all of them and went to the cafeteria. As he enter the cafeteria, he saw Airam waiting for him. Airam noticed him coming her way, so she ran towards him, and asked him if he is okay. Chris told her that he is fine and there is nothing to worry. Despite Chris said that, Airam still worries about him. As promised, Chris went home together with Airam, she sensed that someone is looking at them. So she looked back and noticed some men wearing a suit and a glasses. Chris told Airam that those persons following him are police so she shouldn't worry about them.

So Airam ignored those men following them, and asked Chris about what happened at the back of the school. Chris explained it to her and even mentioned the plan that they created. He told her that they will lure the killer by hiring someone to flirt him and the police are going to guard them secretly. Airam was a bit scared because she thinks that something might happen and ruin their plan. Chris told her that she worries too much and she should just leave it to the police. 

At that time, Grace told to Klaris that she'll be going at the supermarket to buy food for dinner, when her mother is now nowhere to be found in their house, Klaris went upstairs. She is reading the letter again in her room, she is very scared of what is written on it, she never thought that the killer is her brother's friend. She don't know whether she would tell it to him or not because she thinks that she would also be targeted by the killer if she gives the letter to her brother. While thinking, someone threw a rock on her window. Surprised, she went to look who threw the rock and saw a person wearing a jacket and a white mask outside their house. Klaris, then remembered about what his brother was saying when he got home after the train incident. It was White Mask. She thought that the person outside their house is just someone who is doing a prank to tease her. 

But, as she went back to his room, she heard another rock that hit their window. Klaris is now angry, but, the moment she went to their window, she saw the person writing on a clear white pad. It is written there "I know you have the letter". Klaris was shocked, because only her and the killer knows it. She saw the killer writing something again.  The killer lifted the white pad and it was written there "Open the door, I want to talk to you." Very scared, Klaris locked every door in their house and went to her room and locked her door too.

As she hide under her blanket, she heard something, a sound similar to the sound of an opening door. That sound made her even scared than awhile ago so she placed all the things that she can move infront of her door to prevent the killer in entering her room. After doing that, she hid again under her blanket, but it gets even worst, she heard someone walking on their stairs and as the sound fades, she heard someone knocking on her door and a voice telling her to open it. 

The voice that she heard is somewhat similar to her. As the person knocking on her door speaks again, Klaris recognized the voice. It was his brother's, so she removed all the things blocking the door and opened it. She then saw his brother, and embraced him with relief. Chris asked her what happened to her. Klaris told him that the person that wears a white mask was at their house awhile ago, but Chris denied it, telling her that no one was at their house before he arrived. Klaris went outside to look if that person is still there, but she saw no traces of that person instead she saw men in suits. 

Klaris asked her brother who are the men outside, Chris told her that they are the police assigned by SPO3 Lance Avendano to guard them. As Klaris went inside their house again, Chris asked where their mother is, she told him that their mother is going on the supermarket to buy food for dinner. Klaris noticed that her brother is very calm today, so she thought that he must be very calm because police are protecting them. Chris went to his room to change, and suddenly, their telephone rang. Klaris asked the caller who is it then the caller told her that it is her mother and she will be late because something happened on the way to the supermarket. Grace also told her that they should not wait for her and just cook something for them. Hearing that made Klaris nervous, she then asked her mother if she is okay, but her mother hanged up.
