Neko Paradise!

New Species (5 Hours Later)

     I awoke slowly in a soft bed. My vision was a bit blurry and my ears were ringing. I gave my eyes and ears time to adjust before sitting up. I looked down to see that I was shirtless with a big bandage wrapped around me diagonally. I wonder, did Kay do this? I looked to my side and saw two Japanese doctors talking to each other before noticing me. 

-"Hey there sir, how do you feel?" he asked...in English surprisingly

-"I feel okay, why?" I asked.

     The second guy whispered something into the first doctor's ear before walking off.

-"Well, you were in a pretty bad condition. Blood leaking out of your chest and back and you had a bit running out of your mouth as well. We were extremely worried about internal bleeding but it turns out that you just had your lip cut a small bit." he said.

-"Phew, so am I okay now?" I asked.

-"Yeah, you're good now. We didn't even need to stitch up the cuts, just leave the gauze on for today and you should be good." 

-"Wow, thank you."

-"Mochiron." he said in Japanese.

     I still have no idea what that means. Soon after he said that, the door opened again to reveal the other doctor with Kio and Kay behind him. He stepped to the side and let the two go, they rushed to my side. They threw their arms around my neck and their faces into my chest. I saw tears in their eyes.

-"Master! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I let you down!" Kay said, sobbing.

-"Master...I don't know what to say. I will try my hardest to make sure no harm comes to you ever again." Kio said, gritting her teeth together and with tears rolling down her cheeks.

-"You two..." I said.

     They both looked up at me with expectant eyes, awaiting what I had to say.

-"It's not your fault. And I'm fine, don't worry about it. Just try to get along better from now on, okay?" I asked.

     They both took a moment to think and look at each other before nodding.

-"Okay! We will!" They both said with a smile.

-"That's my girls." I said calmly, petting their heads.

-"Purr purr purr..." They both purred in unison.

     They really are more connected than I thought, aren't they?

-"Alright you two, let's meet up with Kimihito." I said.

     I was about to stand up when I saw the same doctor from before approach with a piece of paper in hand.

-"Someone left this for you, (Y/N). I presumed you knew them." the doctor said.

     He handed me the paper and I read it. It was Kimihito explaining that he couldn't wait any longer and that we would have to take a cab to get to his place. How long was I out? I stood up and we got our bags back from the airport staff. We exited the building and stood in the pickup zone. I saw a man next to a taxi holding a sign saying "(Y/N) and Nekos". Was this guy waiting for us? We approached and said that we were the people on his sign. He mentioned that Kimihito paid him to wait for us. That was nice of him. We embarked in the taxi and I told him the address. Once on the road, I took the opportunity to just look at the two Nekos sitting on either side of me. They looked so content, I could see in their faces and in their eyes that they were just happy to be next to me. 

-"Man, what exactly did I do to make these two want to stay with me this much?" I thought.

     Kimihito did mention that I saved the two back in Arcadia...but I forget every detail. I was quickly snapped back into reality by Kio.
