It was the same thing Pyrrha had been staring at on her phone for the past hour, frustrated, she flung her phone across her bedroom.

"Stupid phone." She mumbled before going back to retrieve it.

Even though she had more money than the average college student, thanks to her parents, she still didn't want to stress even more over getting a new phone. It all began in the morning, the day of her final exam in history.

Pyrrha woke up at exactly after half an hour of her alarm clock ringing. Panicked out of her mind, she quickly rushed to get dressed in a grey sweatshirt with fitted blue jeans and her hair in a messy bun.

Running down the steps over her dorm, she almost tripped on the last step until a pair of arms caught her under her arms. "Must be in a hurry, right?" The person holding her, said.

Looking up, Pyrrha saw a guy, who was probably not much older than 19, smile at her. His deep electric blue eyes sent butterflies in her stomach as her face turned bright red. Blonde hair swept past his eyes in layers, and for some reason when he tilted his head in a 45 degree angle, it made his strong jawline more defined. She instantly broke free from his grip and stepped away from him, like if fire scorched her insides. She tried not to think about how close she was near his face, and when did she become one of those girls?

"I-I'm sorry, I'm just going to be late to my final if I don't hurry. Wait...MY FINAL. I HAVE TO GO, BYE!" Pyrrha scrambled past the cute boy, not questioning, until much later, why was he in the girls dorm house. She paused for a second.

"Thanks again." Pushing past the doorway, not even waiting for his response.

Barely making it on time, Pyrrha got there and took the test which lasted for about 2 hours. The test itself made her use her knowledge on what she had learned throughout one her semesters specifically in high school.

"That test was a piece of cake!" One of Pyrrha's long time friends, Nora, chirped alongside her as they walked out of campus and to the nearest café. "Let's not get into how you bought an actual cake to the final and Professor Oobleck didn't even question you about it." Sighed Nora's older adoptive brother, Ren.

Pyrrha giggled, she had to hand to the pair. They were polar opposites, from Nora's light complexion to Ren's dark skin, they knew how to deal with one another's personailty, as different as the night is the day.

"I'm glad he stopped to talk to Ruby in the hallway for a few moments. It gave me a chance to slip in unnoticed. Although, I hope she's not in trouble. I think I might stop near her dorm after this to checkup on her." She said as Ren agreed and they walked inside the café and placed 2 orders of ice coffee and one hot mint tea before taking a seat near a both by the large class panes.

"I brought chocolate!" Nora happily exclaimed as she pulled out three thick bars of chocolate from her pocket. Seriously, how did she fit those bars without crushing them in her pocket?! "I think I'll pass Nora." She said. Moments later the waitress came back with their drinks. Too distracted, Pyrrha glanced outside to the baby blue eyes, and a pair of electric blue flashed into her mind.

The sky held nothing to his eyes, which seemed so warm and bright.

Someone cleared their throat.

"Hu?" The red haired girl was sucked back to reality as her gingered-haired best friend gave her look. "What?" She fidgeted in her seat, she never did like that look Nora gave her, it always meant she was thinking of something that almost always led to trouble, and with Ren trying to fix everything. Like that one time they were kids and Nora thought it was a good idea to sneak off and swim in a river that their parents explicitly told them not to go.

Needless to say, she dragged Pyrrha and Ren to swim with her and it ended with both girls almost drowning and Ren having to swim them to rescue. To this day, Nora's brother always brought it up as a reason not to trust her, but they did end up following her ideas anyway.

"You've only ever gotten that dreamy face whenever you like someone. Clearly you've met someone and not told your best friends. I feel offended." Nora pouted. "I didn't meet anyone...I just tripped on the steps leaving our dorm and he just happened to be there and catch me."

"It's destiny! Pyrrha will get married to him and happily ever after!" The shorter girl bounced in her seat. "Shut up." Pyrrha blushed, looking away.

"Nope! You didn't even deny it, you like him." Nora wagged a finger at her, in which she replied with swatting it away. "Even if it were true, I never got his name. So it probably won't happen." She tucked in a piece of her hair behind her ear as Nora huffed and mumbled something about 'Cupid's arrow shooting right a her'.

Pyrrha directed her attention back at Ren who didn't say word. By the looks of it, he had finished his mint tea and turned his tea cup upside down before waiting for a moment and turning it back face up.

"It seems only fate can tell if this is just a chance encounter or more." He trailed his hand on the rim of his cup as Pyrrha nodded. Ren somehow took readings from anything to your aura all the way to what you touched or drank. After so many years, she didn't question his method since he tended to be right like Nora.

"I should probably go check on Ruby. See you guys." She stood up and gave both of her friends a hug before walking out and reaching her dorm. Taking the elevator to the 7th floor, she stopped near 7R and hoped Ruby was there, or else she'd have to stop by later on.

Knocking for about a few seconds until the door swung open and sleepy Yang was revealed. "Pyrrha? What are you doing here?" Pyrrha blushed. She almost forgot she was coming here unannounced and thinking on it, it seemed quite rude of her. "Sorry, I just wanted to check if Ruby was here." Yang yawned and stretched a bit. "Oh sorry, one of her friends swung by a few minutes ago to pick her up and take her out but they'll be back in less than a few minutes. Do you want to wait inside?"

"Thank you, but I don't want to impose. I think I'll come around later, thank you again Yang." Pyrrha have a smile smile as Yang nodded and closed the door.

Thinking back, the boy she did meet was in the lobby, maybe he was Ruby's friend? Probably not. He probably was waiting for his girlfriend. The thought made her frown as she brushed it away. She made her way descending down the stairs to her fourth floor dorm until she missed the last step and tripped.

Right into a pair of arms from the boy in the morning.
