Guilty Until Proven Innocent-Tavion

"For the last time, I did not kill Alec." I said slowly to the detective again with tears staining my cheeks.

"The medical examiner puts the time of death at between three and four pm, you said you left at three thirty, so somebody came in less than thirty minutes after you left, and killed your friend?"

"Yes, I would never hurt Alec you have to believe me." I said almost screaming, I put my head into my hands and began to cry.

The detective just watched me until his partner came in.

"The Mother is missing as well." He said handing the folder to the detective.

As soon as I heard that I jumped up," Mrs. Little is missing?"

He looks up from his file, "Yeah, so where is she?" He asked me.

"I don't know when I left she was already gone." I said confused.

He slammed the folder on the desk and came over to my face, "YOU DO KNOW WHERE SHE IS, YOU MURDERED HER SON, THEN YOU TOOK HER AND MURDERED HER TOO."

"No I didn't." I said looking him in his face.

The door flew open and Michal walked in, he looked at the detective and he came up to his face, "Did he put his hands on you, Tavion?" He asked me while still looking the detective in the face.

"No." I said.

Michal smiled at the detective, "too bad, I would have love to have his ass fired."

The detective snared, "Who the hell are you?"

"I'm his lawyer, now get the hell out of here, before I drop a lawsuit on you so fast, your pockets wouldn't even know what happened."

The detective's face turned read with anger, but all he did was snatch his papers and then headed for the door.

As soon as the door slammed I turned to Michal, "Michal I swear to you I had nothing to do with this, we had just patched things up, I talked him into going to therapy, how could this happen." I said breaking down.

"Hey Tavion it's okay, if they had evidence that you did this then they would have arrested you by now, but I'm going to need you to tell me exactly what happened.

"Okay." I said sniffling, "I got to Alec's house around two and we were talking, after we were done talking it was around three-thirty so I left, but before I left I noticed that Ms. Little was gone, it was weird but I just didn't put much though into it."

"Okay Tavion what happened after that?"

"I left and went to Mom's house you guys were there." I said shaking my head.

Michal looked at me uneasy, "Tavion are you sure you're telling me everything?"

"Of course why would...." I looked at him, "You think I did it?"

"Tavion I just want to be sure..." He said but I sprang from my chair, "How could you think that I would ever kill somebody?"

"Tavion you said you left at three thirty, you did not get back to your mom's house until four thirty, It's only a ten minute drive from Alec's house to your mom's , I need to know what happened, please." He said pleading with me.

I looked around the room, and then i rubbed my arm, "Okay, I went to put flowers on my Dad's grave, I go and talk to him everytime I come back to Greenville."

He sighed, "Why didn't you want to tell me that? You thought that I would be jealous?" He asked.

"Well yeah, you've been like a father to me in these last few months and I also didn't want mom to be worried that I've slipped back into that state that I was in when he first died."

Michal came over to me and hugged me, "Tavion I would never be jealous at you mourning or remembering your father, he was your father, and will always be, you understand me?." He said and I nodded.

"well, let's get you out of here." He said and he opened the door, as soon as I walked through the door, the detective came over.

"We have more questions to ask him."

"You will have to do it on another day, my client is innocent, he was with me and his mother, and before that visiting his father's grave, you should be ashamed of yourself, there was no credible evidence against my client, but you arrested him, you better believe that I will be sending this tidbit to IAB, let's go Tavion."

I looked at the police officer as me and Michal left the room.

I didn't really say anything while Michal drove me back to BU, he asked me if I wanted to go back to Greenville, but I didn't want to be anywhere near home right now. When we pulled up to my dorm, Michal insisted on helping me to my room, but I told him I was okay and thanked him for giving me a ride.

"Tavion, be careful, we don't know much right now, so please play it safe."

"I will Michal, thank you." I said again, gave him a hug and went into the dorm.

The first thing I seen when I opened the door, was Trent standing there with roses in his hand. he smiled at me, and at first I smiled back, but soon tears began to run down my face.

His smile quickly faded and he ran over to me, "Baby what's wrong?" He said putting the flowers down and embracing me.

"Alec...he's.....he's dead....someone killed him." I said looking in Trent's face and I broke down. He looked back at me with shock.

"It's......It's okay baby."

"No, no it's not okay, he was gonna actually get it together and get over what happened in May. Why does this keep happening to us? What did we do that we deserve this?" I ask basically screaming as Trent hugged me tighter.

"Baby It's okay, I know it hurts, but don't worry, nobody is going to hurt you as long as I'm around."

As we lay in bed, Trent was rubbing my back while I rested my head on his shoulder.

"You know Alec had a crush on you at one point?" I asked him.

He chuckled, "Really?"

"Yeah, it used to annoy me so much when he would practically undress you with your eyes everytime you walked by."

"Awee you were jealous?"

I hit him in the chest and he feigned a hurt whimper.

"I wasn't the only one jealous.." I said.

"Well whatever do you mean Mr. Irving?"

"So you're saying that you weren't jealous of Danny?"

He stiffened after i spoke his name.

"Nah."

"Are you sure about that?" I said looking up to him.

"Yeah I mean, maybe I was a little bit at first but I got you now." He said and kissed my forehead.

I smiled to myself, and then I frowned again.

"Did you know that KJ and Alec was messing around?" I ask him.

"No, for real?"

"Yeah, that's why he was so angry and sad, he even told me that KJ was gonna come out for him."

"Wow, I guess we all change." He said as I looked at him.

"I'm gonna miss him Trent." I said and laid my head back on his chest.

"I know you will baby, and that's okay."
