During the strenuous game of duck duck goose, Yuna had received a phone call. Her nervous expression when picking up her phone made it clear that the call was from Jaehyun. She swiped the screen, placed her phone to her ear and left the room. I decided to follow and eavesdrop on their conversation in order to make sure she doesn't panic.
"No, Jaehyun, I can't do this." Her voice cracked as she spoke. "Please, I need space."
She's breaking up with him. I could sense that she was about to cry even though she was faced away from me. I want to help explain the situation to him but I know this isn't my place to be.
"It's not your fault, don't cry. You're making this harder to do." Her voice was unsteady and her breath was shaky. "I j-just need a break. I'm sorry." She sat down on the floor, still unaware that I was in the room.
"Jaehyun, please don't say that. Please stop crying. I can't do that. I need time. I'm really sorry." She sobbed into her phone. The phone call then ended and she sat there crying.
I sat down next to her and pulled her into me silently. I hugged her as she cried into my chest. "I just couldn't handle it." She sobbed.
"I know that, and it's not your fault. You've been through a lot and it's okay if you can't handle it." I rubbed her back gently.
"I care about him so much, it hurt so much to hear him cry. I just didn't know what else to do." She pulled out of the hug and faced me.
"It will be alright." I wiped the tears off of her cheeks. "Everything will be alright."

it's been 10 years i'm sorry guys
but now that school is finally out i can hopefully update more often
also i don't know how angsty i should make the next couple of chapters
aND i have a story idea for jeno and i'm gonna go start that now
