"Hey, Felix." whispered Cassandra, Felix opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow.
"Do you know any possible escape routes here?"Felix's eyes glimmered with amusement at the thought.
"My dear, escape, means certain death." replied Felix, he stood up and walked over to Cassandra.
"Why do you ask that, Cassandra?"
"To leave this place, duh."
"It's better to be more prudent, Cassandra," replied Felix as he frowned, "you still remember what happened to you not too long ago when you were caught about making such a fuss about waking up in the dark. Imagine the punishments they'll give you when they catch you attempting to make an escape."
Cassandra pouted and stared at the ground, she didn't want to experience being shocked again.
"Well, is there any other way to escape?" Cassandra asks hopefully.
"I wouldn't know of that, I'm afraid." replied Felix.
In exasperation, Cassandra collapsed on the floor.
"Damn it,"
"Are you okay, Cassandra?" asked Felix with amusement.
"Peachy," muttered Cassandra.
Felix grabbed Cassandra's hand and helped her up.
"You know, you should work more on your-"
Someone suddenly knocks on the door, Felix stands up and trudges to the door and opens it, revealing Credence with his usual smirk on his face.
"Daimra requires your presence," said Credence.
Cassandra's stomach churned and her heart beat fast. Did the woman found out Cassandra accidentally spied on them?
"S-Sure..." replied Cassandra shakily, she stood up but her knees wobbled. She followed Credence through a series of corridors, turns and doors. The whole place was a maze of death, everywhere, people were on the ground, rotting. Cassandra was already getting lost, there was no hope for her to escape.
They stopped at a large metal door the size of two giraffes stacked up. Strangely, no bodies were infront of the door, Cassandra just noticed everything was silent apart from the noises of footsteps behind the door.
Credence knocked on the doors, the sounds of metal clanking filled the eerie silence.
"She will be with you in a minute." said Credence before leaving, dull echoes of his boots resonated before fading back into the darkness.
For a heart-wrenching minute Cassandra wanted to run to escape possible death, but she was trapped in a maze, if she were even had a chance to run she would get lost, caught and killed.
She jumped back and her heart thudded when the door suddenly creaked and opened loudly. Behind the door was a female slave with a blindfold.
"A-Ah, Cass-Cassandra, m-master is waiting for you..." stammered the woman. "C-come..."
Cassandra shakily nods and walks inside the room, to her surprise, the room was warm and welcoming, wolf fur made out a floor, several portraits of women were hung on the walls, the furniture was made out of mahogany.
On one of the chairs sat Daimra, crossed legged. Cassandra's shock immediately turned to fear at the remembrance of the possible reason why she was sent here.
"Ah, Cassandra. Come sit," said Daimra. Cassandra forced herself not to run away and cautiously walked towards the seat.
"My, my. You are tense, relax, Cassandra. I'm not that intimidating," chortled Daimra. "I may be queen of the northern Isle's, but I'm warm, so, sit!" Daimra enthustiastically says.
