"There is no such thing as fat girl . Every girl is beautiful in her own way." - Niall Horan

Sharlet went downstairs. The mouth watering aroma of pancakes filled her nostrils. She increased her pace and went to the dining room.

Her mother, Anna was placing her plate on the dining table.

"Oh my! You are looking so pretty!" exclaimed Anna dramatically. Sharlet rolled her eyes because to her she looked ugly.

She sat on the chair and stared at the pancake.

"Mom." She said all of a sudden.

Anna who was already digging in her pancake looked up.

"Why is there so much butter on my pancakes?" Sharlet hissed.

"Don't you like extra butter on your pancake?" Anna said raising her eyebrows.

"Mom, I'll gain more fat and look like a potato if I continue to eat so much!" She whined, whipping off the butter from her pancake's surface.

"Aww! You are my kawaii potato!" Anna said winking, not knowing this will make Sharlet mad.

Sharlet hissed at Anna's comment and stood up. She took the bag from the living room and moved out without a word.

Anna was still a bit puzzled as she bided her good night.

Sharlet went to her room and unplugged her phone from the charger. She googled several sorts of diets, exercises, medicines which will make her slimmer. But all of them will take a longer time for her to be slim.

Disheartened, she sat at her desk and took her diary out of the pile of books. The diary was of purple colour and golden embriodings all over it giving it a royal look. She got it from her dad previous year. She liked to write her present state of mind in the diary.

She took a pen and started writing her heart out on the pages of the diary.

I want to look better. I am so sick of being ugly. For one time I want to experience beauty.  How would it be to become one of the girls with perfect figure which I am always envious of. I wish someone could feel me. But nobody does, not even mom.

Her hand ached but much less than the pain of her heart. She put the pen down and closed the diary. Again placed it inside the pile of books and climbed up her bed and drifted in slumber.

_

"Mom, I'm back." Sharlet said closing the gate behind. She just returned from school. It was a normal day.

"Welcome back, honey!" Anna exclaimed as she came out from the kitchen and wiping her palms on her apron.

Sharlet went upstairs to her room. Her glance went to her diary which was lying on her bed. The window near the bed was surprisingly opened which always remained closed.

A soft breeze caused her diary to flip open. It turned to the page she wrote yesterday.

Her eyes widened on seeing the word 'reply'.
