Forgotten

Lizzy

In Josh's class, there was a lot of people and they all had their laptops out and looking at the teacher. I asked Josh if I could go to the bathroom and he said only if I hurry back. I walked down the hall looking for a bathroom and saw girls going into the lady's room so I followed them. I walked in and one of the girls that walked in before came over to me and said, "You are so cute, how old are you?"

"Um, I'm eight"

"Wow, who are you here with?"

"With my brother."

I got finished and put the paper towel in the garbage and my finger started bleeding again from earlier this morning. As I walked out I bumped into someone and fell to the floor, I looked up and it was a boy with white hair like mine and his eyes were blue just like mine as well.

"Are you okay Elizabeth?"

I looked at him and said, "Ya, how did you know my real name? Most people just call me Lizzy"

he got my finger that was bleeding while he talked,

"Well I know you very well, but I'm guessing you don't remember me, it has been a while..."
he got a tissue from his pocket and placed it on my finger in a familiar way and continued talking,

"then you got in that car crash making you lose your memory."

I looked at him and tried to figure out where I've seen him before.

"Do I know you?"

he grabbed a bandage from his pocket and placed it on my finger while saying in a sad voice, "You used to."

He finished with the band-aid and kissed my forehead and smiled saying, "All better now."

His eyes were full of longing and sadness. "Do you know my brothers Josh, Eric, Kyle, and Ben?"

his expression changed to hate, "Yes I know Josh and Eric, but I don't know Kile and Ben"

"Why do you look so sad?"

He looked shocked from the question and reached down to his arm and took his watch off and put it on me saying, "If you keep this watch and don't tell your brothers where you got it, I will be happy. okay?" he tilted his head to the side and closed his eyes while smiling in a familiar way.

I looked at him confused and said, "Why?"

he shook his head and smiled while saying, "Two years ago I lost the thing I loved most and I've been looking for it ever since, I have a feeling I'm closer to finding it." he paused and looked out the window while saying, "I like the way Tokyo looks this time of year, don't you?"

I looked out the window and there were blossoms falling to the ground shimmering in the moonlight, so I said, "Ya it does. What do you know about me that you're not saying. What is it?"

He giggled and said, "As stubborn as ever, but I will tell you, just not right now" he looked down to where his watch used to be, probably forgetting that he gave it to me. He grabbed my arm and looked at the watch and said, "Well you better get back or Josh will think you disappeared again" I looked down at the watch, but when I looked up again that boy was gone.

On my way back to Josh I studied the watch up and down, I found letters engraved on the side saying, "C&E" I didn't know what it meant and when I got back to Josh he noticed me looking at it and said, "Where did you get that watch?"

I remembered that boy asked me not to tell so I just said, "Someone gave it to me just now"

"Do you know who gave it to you?"

"No, it was a random person that just said the watch matched my hair"

he pushed up his glasses and just shrugged it off.

We left school when the sun began to rise. The house looked like a castle. Josh got a remote and entered numbers and the gate opened and closed after we drove in, when I got out of the car I ran to the house and pushed open the door. The house looked so much bigger when it was light, Josh walked in so I said, "Josh it looks so much when it's light!" Josh just smiled and said, "You can do whatever you want, I'm going to be in my study, enjoy the light, it will only last five hours."

I found a music station in a new room that I have not seen yet and there was a CD that said 'N Playlist' I put it in the music station and it started playing a song that I did not recognize, I stood there and listened to the song.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped, startled, and moved away. Kyle was there and he said, "It's okay it's just me, so, you found my music room."

I looked down ashamed and said, "Sorry I didn't know" I started to walk out but he grabbed my hand and said, "No, it's fine, you are welcome in here whenever you want" I smiled and hugged him. He took his cap off and his hair was light brown, he took his earphones out and put his phone on the desk where the music station was. He waved his hand out and said,

"So how do you like my music room?"

There was a couch in the middle of the room facing a huge TV on the wall, there were two windows that showed the front lawn and in between the windows was a bookshelf full of CDs. on the far side of the room, there was a table against the wall that had red and white roses on, and in every corner of the room was a little table with the same red and white roses.

"I love the room, it feels comforting" he smiled at my remark and went over to his music shelf and moved his fingers from CD to CD. He didn't move his eyes from his shelf but he said, "Do you want to listen to some soft Japanese music?"

"Sure"

he grabbed a CD and took it off the shelf, when he got to the music station he stopped the music playing and put the new CD in and placed the other CD in a case and put it on the shelf. He came over and sat on the couch next to me. The music was really soothing and we both slowly drifted off to sleep.
