I had been thinking of Mathew's question for two days and I finally got my answer. I texted him to meet me at the café In 21 minutes. I told my mom where I was going and what I was doing. She is fine with me dating same with my dad so they don't care. I brushed my long, thick, brown hair, put shoes on and was off to the café.
I still had 3 minutes to wait when I got there so I got a table and ordered the drink he had gotten when we were on our date. I also ordered my favorite.
When Mathew walked in, he saw me right away and we began a conversation.
"Hey Rachel, did you want to tell me your answer?" Matthew asked me.
"Hey, and yes I do." I tell him rubbing my arm nervously. I didn't say anything for a moment.
"Well?" He asked breaking the silence.
"My answer is..." I start but I don't finish the sentence.
"Spill the beans." He says jokingly. There is another moment of silence between us.
"Well?" He asks again.
"Yes, I will be your girlfriend." I say smiling from ear to ear.
"SCORE!" Matthew yells throwing his fist into the air.
I look at him confused.
"I mean... good." He says more calmly.
"That's what I thought." I say giggling.
After we talked for a while, he drove me home. I got a feeling I had never gotten before. It was the best feeling you could ever have. It was the feeling of love.
When he dropped me off at my house, he told me to wait. I turned around to see what I would be waiting for. He handed me my purse.
"Thank you." I say smiling at him.
"Any time." He says returning the smile.
I started to walk to my front door when Mathew yelled,
"Wait you forgot something." Matthew yells.
"What did I forget this time?" I ask him.
"I don't know what this is.." He says acting like he can't pick it up.
Oh no, what could it be? Could it be something private? OMG I'M FREAKING OUT!!!
"Ok let me look" I say as I walk over to him.
As I got closer to see what it was, Mathew pulled me into his car.
