Marisol Adams was a popular youtuber. She had just hit her seven million mark on YouTube for being herself. She was always her crazy and weird self on the internet and she wasn't afraid to post anything that society would deem 'ugly'. She was weird and happy. That's all that mattered.
"Alright guys. That's it for today's video. I hope you enjoyed and don't forget to give it a thumbs up cause that's be pretty cool right?" Mary said as she curled inward before laughing. "Make sure to subscribe because I'm freaking amazing!" She exclaimed as she stood up on her bed.
"Thanks for a great day! Love you! Mary, out!" She yelled before jumping and butt bombing on her bed. She laughed as she got up to turn off ear camera and studio lights. Mary took her camera off the tripod and she tucked the tripod away in her closet and moved her lights to the corner of the room before grabbing her MacBook and sliding it into her case for it and then putting it in her bag along with her camera.
Mary slid on one strap and wandered out of her room as she saw her best friend laying on the couch with her boyfriend Calum. Her name was Dalyia and her and Mary had been friends since highschool.
"Heading to the cafe?" Dalyia asked as she looked up from her sleeping boyfriend who was laying on her.
"Yeah. I'll see you later. Text me if you need anything." Mary said as she pocketed her phone before slipping on her heeled booties that went with her outfit. It was a pair of white cropped ripped jeans, and a yellow camisole that was loose and tucked into her jeans.
"Can you pick up toilet paper on your way home? We're almost out. Oh and Ash just hired a new barista. Be nice to him." Dalyia said as she brought a hand up to rest in Calum's hair as she was mindlessly going through her phone.
"Sure. And when am I ever mean? Text me to remind me please." Mary said as she opened the door and exited the house that they shared. Mary hummed aimlessly as she walked down the street towards the plaza that was at the end of the neighbourhood. It held a pizza parlour, convenience store, department store, pharmacy, pub and grill, and many other things but it held one of her favourite places.
The Yellow Brick Cafe. The name and decor was based off of Mary's love for The Wizard of Oz and the yellow brick road. Dalyia owns the cafe so she had a say in how is was designed, built and named. Dalyia knew her best friend would be obsessed with it seeing as the two were practically attached at the hip.
Ashton was the manager of it and friends with Calum. That was how Dalyia and him met.
She pushed open the door and the familiar ring of the bell above the door brought a soft smile to her face as the environment she was in was extremely happy.
"Morning Mary!" Michael called from behind the counter. Mary smiled and walked over there.
"Morning Mike. My usual please." Mary said happily as she tugged out her wallet and brought out the usual five dollars. Her tea and bagel always came up to $4.75.
"As always Mary." Michael told her with a soft grin as he leaned his arm on the display case beside the register that held their assortment of items they told.
"I heard Ash hired a new employee?" Mary asked as she declined the twenty-five scents that was her change and Michael set the coin back into the register and closed it.
"Yeah. He should be here any minute." Michael muttered as he glanced up to the clock above the door. Mary glanced back at it too before turning around to face Michael as he awaited for one of their workers to hand Michael the bagel and tea.
The bell chimed and Michael looked to see who entered and Mary followed his gaze. She met eyes with a man who seemed around her age.
He had blonde curly hair that was tucked behind his ears. Blue eyes and his hands were stuffed in a black jacket. He was wearing mostly black which made him stand out in the brightly coloured setting.
