Laelette Aries left the club when the man left in a hurry. Looking at the time. "Two hours!" She ran to find her car. "I know he was hot but damn." Taking off to get home. She had a feeling that she will see him again.
Getting home in minutes, then changed to get ready for work. She works at a convenience store so her hours varies. She doesn't like it but it was better than nothing.
She soon got to work and barely clocked in in time. The manager crossed his arms at her. "Luck seem to be on your side. Now get to work." She just nodded.
Three hours passed while working and she finished restocking and organizing the place when she heard the door chime. "Morning." She greeted as she looked who came in. Froze when she saw the same man from the club.
Braddin's eyes widen. "You!" He was just as surprise to see her. "What are you doing here?"
She gave him a look. "I work here. What are you doing here?"
He laughs. "Why else would I be here? I'm a customer."
She rolls her eyes. "And what can I help you with kind sir?" She jokes, avoiding his eyes just in case.
He went around her to the cold section. "I just need to get bottles of water." He replied as he grabs a case of bottles with water.
Laelette was already behind the counter. "Glad to be of service." Waiting for him.
He put the case on the counter. "What's your name?" He asked.
She rang up the price. "Laelette." She simply replied. "7.67." She told him.
"Braddin." He pulls out his wallet and pulled out a ten, setting it on the counter. "So you went to the club then came to work?"
She glance at him then looks down to get the correct change. "Yes I did. It's called living life during these mess up times." Handing him his change.
"Nothing wrong with that." He went to grab his change, his hand touching hers. "I..." He stopped in the middle of talking. The two looked at each other in the eyes, frozen on the spot.
No one has noticed their necklace and ring glowing slightly. No one except the government. The video camera recording the scene of the two. Marking them to be targets.
A few minutes passed and they both shook off the feeling. "What the hell just happened?" Laelette asked as she took a step back. Feeling her finger warm a little with the ring on.
Braddin out his hand on his necklace as it was feeling warm to him. "I have no idea. But that's the second time tonight that has happened." He looks at his watch. "At least a few minutes has passed."
She looks as well. "Something doesn't feel right."
He frowns. "You feel that too?" She just nodded. He pulls out a card from his pocket. "Take this. We need to get together. Away from here and not while you are working."
She took it slowly then looks at the card. Seeing his name, number and address. "I will call when I get off." She told him.
