I'm Back

Libra's POV,

It was another day of school and I checked my time table to see that I didn't have much classes today which I was thankful for really. With all that's going on in my life I could really use a break from not only school but the struggles of life overall.

I decided not to dodge my friends today so I build enough courage to face them at break. When I reached the cafeteria I noticed that they were all seated at their usual table so I walked over to them and indeed a seat was there. Maybe it was for me , maybe it was not but I still sat there either way.

"Hey guys" I said softly not making eye contact with either of them.

"Hey" they said back in the same tone as I did.

"Libra I know you want time to process all of this cause this is like so new to you......."

"Don't forget unbelievable" I said cutting Katerina off and she closed her eyes for a few seconds whilst taking a deep breath.

"And unbelievable" she continued and I nod "but next time you want time away from us please tell us first, you had us all worried".

"Uh not all" Jess said with her hand half raised and we all rolled our eyes at that but she just simply shrugged and took a sip from her drink which definitely looks like blood. Ewww.

"You're drinking blood at school?" I asked whilst scrunging up my face.

"Yes. So?" she replied putting emphasis on each word and giving me a blank stare which still looked malicious even though it was suppose to be blank.

I shivered in disgust and turn my head from her and onto Katerina "back to you" I said trying to shake off the little imaginary ants running up and down my body "I felt bad that you guys didn't tell me about it sooner that is one of the reasons why I was distancing myself a little".

"You can't blame us" Mason said "remember we didn't and still don't know you all that well and to tell you something like that is a big deal cause this has been a secret for many many years now and as I said before you're new in all of us' life so who knew if you would tell someone" he explained which honestly makes sense and is kinda making me feel bad for avoiding them.

I sighed in defeat "you're right. Sorry for being selfish by only thinking about myself in this situation. I'm just" I paused for a moment feeling tears start welling up in my eyes and my vision became blurry " I'm scared" my voice started cracking up now.

"Scared of what Lib" Avery asked in a soft voice making me feel delicate.

"I'm scared that one day you guys will I don't know turn on me when you can't control yourselves from hunger" I said.

Jess crossed her eyes and breathed out in frustration "and you guys wonder why I don't dig this chick" she said pointing at me.

"You don't dig anyone" Katerina said and she simply shrugged.

"Can't argue with that".

Mason chuckled "Libra this is real life okay. It's not a movie where the vampires are afraid of garlic, and have to be buried before they turn and loose control of their eating. We can control ourselves like any normal person so if we attack someone it's because we just want to or we have to so the answer to that is no we will not drain your blood when we get hungry" he casually said.

"No promises" Jess said giving me the stink eye and I sighed and just decided to ignore that.

"But I saw when" I began but decided not continue what I was about to say because I wouldn't be able to explain it either way "never mind" I said.
