I woke up the next morning to a pounding on the door. "Sayre, if you don't get up and around, you'll miss check-in. Oh, and dont forget about the Rodeo Queen stuff."

Crap! "I'm up! Be down in a few."

I grabbed my Miss Me Jeans, Square toed boots. and a 'Shut Up or Mount Up' t-shirt. On my way downstairs, I took my rodeo queen bag. I was not a girly girl, but somehow I won last year.

"Mornin y'all. Auntie, I'm goin to the stupid barn dance after the rodeo. You'll get home first. If the horse gets out, don't try to put him up. I'll get him later."

"Okay sweet-pea. Why don't you take the boys with you? I mean they'll be here a week, beed something to do."

I looked at her. I mean, really? "How bout because their celebrities, and once 'The Barbies' see them,it'll be a miricle if they make it out alive."

The boys had their own ideas. "I think we can handle it," Chase says. "Yeah, I mean they already know we are in town," Justin adds. "It's been a while since we could do something just for fun. Promise we'll be as invisible as possible," Brantly says.

I think about it. "Well, then lets get the trailer and horses, and hit the road."

I get the keys and head out to my jacked up, all black Ford F-350. As I go to get in and back up, Justin looks confused. "Whos truck is this? It's feakin sweet!"

"Thanks, and it's mine. Got it with my rodeo winnings last year."

Chase chuckled. "Well, damn, you just got a whole lot hotter!"

"Chase." Brantley says with a pissed off look on his face.

I backed my truck up to the trailer and hooked it up. I went to the barn and started to carry my saddle and tack out, when Brantly told me he'd take it. I smiled and said thank you.

Getting Waylon, my barrel horse, in the trailer was a peice of cake. Whiskey, however, was a different story.

"Hey, Brantley, don't let this go to your head okay."

He looked at me. "Let what go to my head?"

I walked over to the trailer and opened the side door. I walked out a little bit, closer to the guys and yelled "Load up!" Whiskey came running up to me. He let me put the halter and lead rope on him, but wouldn't move. So, I sang his special song. The only thing that calms him down.

She said look baby I'm a rockstar/grabs my old guitar/plays it upside down/dancin round in front of our TV/cant see the ball game/so i just wave my lighter around and say/rock on baby/I'd rather watch you anyway

By now I'm walking him into the trailer. I tie him to his side, and go out the side door. I quickly go around and close the back end, then climb in the truck. "Y'all comeing, or are ya goin to stand around lookin confused?"

They loaded up, and we headed out.
