Chapter Nine

Kaname's (POV)

I open the door and see my stewered Robert "What is it?" I ask him. "Theres a policewoman at the front door." He tells me. "I'll come talk to her." I tell Robert, I leave with Robert to the front door and see the policewoman. "Hello how can I help you?" I ask her. "We're looking for Nora Adeen O'Connor we seen her here a few days ago. "Why do you want Nora?" I ask her. "She's a runaway, her foster father is looking for her, He even filled out a missing persons report." She tells me. "Well she is safe tell the foster dad she's safe and living here." I tell her. "Sorry sir but she needs to come with me, She tells me as she walks into my mansion. "She's not going to come with you" I tell her. "I'll come back with backup we'll search this place for her." She tells me as she walks outside, I run into my chambers and see Nora looking at me curiously.

Nora's (POV)

I get dressed and when I open the bathroom door I don't see Kaname anywhere which worries me because he normally tells me where he goes, I look around the chambers but don't see a note from him anywhere. I wonder where he went, he usually tells me where he's going ever sense the max incident, I guess I'll just wait here till he gets back, I wait by the chamber doors for 15 minuets and Kaname suddenly comes running in. "Pack your stuff." He tells me. "Why?" I ask him. "We're going on vacation." He tells me while he grabs a suitcase for me.

"Where to? Why do we have to leave?" I ask him. "Fine because there was a policewoman at the door looking for you and if we don't hide you for a while they'll take you. "Why can't you just hypnotize them?" I ask him. "Vampires have their rules that even I can't break and if we ever hypnotize police there's a chance of the law catching us." He tells me. "Ok" I say while I get all of my stuff and start cramming it into the suitcase, When I'm done I zip it up and watch as Kaname finishes packing up his stuff.

He grabs mine and his suitcase than we both head into his car. While we're getting into his car a man walks up to him. "Where are you going?" The man Asks Kaname. "I have to hide my soulmate for a while so that the police can't get her." He tells the man. "I'm taking her out to the hideout." He tells the man while he gets into his car and we start to drive off. "Where are you taking me?" I ask him. "To my hideout a few hours away you can take a nap while we ride out there." He tells me while pointing to the back seat.

"There's a pillow and a blanket." He tells me I look back there and reach for the pillow and blanket, I lay my seat back and drift off to sleep, A few hours later I wake up in the car and look around to see where we are, it looks like a gas station As I'm thinking this Kaname comes into the car with snacks and drinks, I shyly look at him while moving around in my seat. "What is it?" He Asks me handing me a chocolate milk and a bag of chips. "I have to use the restroom." I tell him in a shy voice. "Oh ok I can show you where it is." He tells me as he gets out of the car to open my door for me.

When he opens the door for me we both walk into the gas station, he opens the door for me than points to the back of the store. "It's in the back." He tells me. "I'm going to wait in the car." He tells me as I head to the back where I see it says Restroom, I go into the bathroom and see a lady smoking sitting on the sink counter. I hurry into a stall and hear her talking on the phone. When I come out of my stall she stares at me.

"You think my relationship is crappy? Huh?" She questions me and I just walk out of the restroom and head straight for the car to see Kaname sucking blood from some woman that has on a sports bra and short shorts, I hurry into the car and shut my door while I stare out of my window, Why does he need blood from sluts? As I'm thinking this he gets into the car with blood on his mouth, I look away and stare out of my window. "What's wrong?" He Asks me. "Nothing let's go." I tell him. "Ok" He starts the car and he drives into a small town. "We're here." He says happily. I stay quiet and continue staring out of my window at the small cabin.
