“So what are you lads doing today?”
Ev smiled from the back of the van, unable to help herself. She quickly crossed her stark blue jean clad leg over her other as she pressed herself to the window. The lads were in the middle of being filmed for their documentary as they headed to yet another radio interview. Elouise and the crew were stuffed into the van, the camera man claiming the passenger seat so he could get a better angle with his camera. Elouise was sitting in the middle row next to the lads but away from the camera. Ev was in the middle of checking over the schedule one last time, making sure to hide her face by looking down at her lap.
“We’re off to find the fountain of youth!” Mark exclaimed enthusiastically.
“Or we’re off to a radio interview,” Glen shrugged. “But honestly, you can pick either of the two.”
Danny then leaned over Glen so his face was taking over the majority of the shot. “I’d choose the first one if I were you,” he grinned. “Trust me when I say that you do not want to get old.”
Mark nodded in agreement. “Yeah, you get these strange lines on your face and hangovers come easier to you and your back hurts more often now. It’s awful.”
Glen then chirped up. “Yeah, but for some even weirder reason, kids listen to you more because they think you’re wiser or smarter than them.” He gave a small shrug. “But in reality we’re still just as clueless as them, but you know...we don’t tell them that.” He then gave the camera a cheeky wink.
Ev made sure to clamp her lips shut to stop the giggle that was threatening to escape her pink lips. The lads when they were sleep-deprived were much more hilarious than she would’ve thought.
“Alright, I think that’s enough for now,” Elouise concluded with a polite smile.
The camera guy quickly turned the camera off and faced forward to start polite conversation with Kevin. Elouise proceeded to turn to Ev to discuss the day and to figure out times for their individual interviews.
“So do they have any breathing time at all today?”
Ev chewed on her lip as she thought about it. “Well after this radio interview we have some time for an interview. But not too long because we have to go to another radio interview after this.”
Elouise nodded. “Okay, we can always set up a quick thing in the parking lot or something.”
“Are you sure?”
Elouise turned to look out the window as they turned into the parking lot. “Yeah, we can use those trees as a backdrop. They’re quite pretty, don’t you think?”
Ev studied the trees as she suggested and realized that they were in fact a bit pretty in its own way. She smiled back at Elouise and agreed with her. She definitely liked the way this girl thought.
“Alright, so we have about an hour and a half for this interview and then we gotta go. Please don’t stay any longer because we do have to keep this schedule. Elouise also has to interview one of you guys for a documentary.”
Elouise then stepped forward. “Yeah, I think we’ll start with Danny first.”
“You guy are on in about five minutes if you guys wanna come in and sit down,” one of the workers peered from the door of the studio, cutting into their conversation.
It had been about fifteen minutes since they had arrived at the radio station and they had been waiting in the hall right outside the studio for the past five. The camera crew had spoke with the radio station and they agreed to let them film bits of the interview for their documentary so they were in the middle of setting up their microphones and cameras in the room right now.
