Alex's POV

I snuck around the house, packing up supplies for the long trip. I had mentally tried to weigh the pro's and con's of waking up the gang at either two or five in the morning. I grabbed my air horn, walking around the corner, and entered a small room filled with sleeping figures. The gang had decided to sleep over at my house since they were too lazy to drive over at 6:00 in the morning. It's understandable, though.

I held the air horn proudly in the sky, placing my finger onto the button. "Heheh, have fun with this, you douche bags." I applied pressure onto the button, triggering the horn. Everyone had awoken with a fright, quickly glancing over to me, looking at me in mixtures of disgust and fear. This was going to be a long day...

---

"Alex, I don't see why it was a good idea to wake us up at 4:00 in the goddamn morning..." Peggy complained, clutching her glass mug filled with Mountain Dew.

Peggy wasn't really a morning person, and when I mean 'really wasn't', I mean she really isn't a morning person. She's grumpy during the day, but chill in the evening. Let's just say... She's the reincarnation of Satan in the morning.

"So we don't have to worry about traffic!" I stated, "Plus, I was debating on whether I should have woken you guys up at 2:00 in the morning, so you guys are lucky that I didn't decide to choose to wake you that time."

"Look, Alexander. Some of us here don't live off of gallons of coffee, and I'm sure as hell people wouldn't just get up at 4:00 in the damn morning for any reason in particular."

I scoffed, "Well, I'm still not going to take any chances. Now look, I'd rather get packed up and hit the road than sit here and have this useless argument, Thomas."

Thomas shook his head, flipping me off.

"Now! Lez' go." They all rolled their eyes, groaning.

---

"John," I sighed, "Tell me again, why do we have to bring the turtles along on this trip? The tank barely even fits, and it's taking up the space for the luggage!" John shot a look at me.

"Um, excuse me, I'll have you know that the only person I can trust to take care of my babies is tagging along on this trip."

I sighed. "Look, we can hire someone to watch over your... things-" "Okay, first of all, they're not called 'things', they have a name, you know! And I am not entrusting some stranger to watch over Lexi and Jacky!" John blurted out, walking off to the front seat of the car to get in.

I knew that I could never win against an arguement with John. I mean, I could win in any argument, but just not against John.

As I walked down my cobbled pathway, I catch a glimpse of Angelica, who was currently trying to hull her sisters' various bags.

"Hey, Angie. We're gonna need a place for the luggage we have..."

"Huh? Why? Did one of the guys decide to pack heavy again?"

"I guess you could say that..." I motioned my hands over to the turtle tank that was currently trying to fit in the back of the trunk.

"John really must care for those turtles a bunch..." Peggy barged in.

I shot down the rest of my coffee, the threw then cup away into the nearest trash bin.

"Jesus Christ, was that your fourth cup this morning?" Peggy asked, pointing to the trash bin.

"Yeah, it is, why?"

Peggy and Angelica shot looks at each other, than went back to looking to me.

"Let's just say... We counted." Angelica stated, gesturing her hands towards a plastic bag labelled 'The Endless Coffee Cup Landfill.' I chuckled nervously, averting my eyes away from the two girls in embarrassment.

"Hey, I have one question. Where's Eliza?"

Peggy pointed over to the front seat of their mini van. I looked over, only to be met with a sleeping figure wrapped around a blanket. All you could see were Eliza's black and baby blue streaks of hair.

"Ah, there she is..."

"Anyway, back to the original topic, do you mind sparing some space in your mini van?" I asked again. "Yeah, sure, fine with us!"

"Okay, thank you very much!"

Time to hit the road!
