Chapter Four

I woke up at 7am by my alarm on my phone. Time for school. Thank god I only have one week left until I get my summer holidays! I will get to see Tom to so that's something to look forward to.

See something people don't know about me that is I suffer with depression. I might seem happy on the outside but inside I'm dying. That's why school is such an effort for me not because I don't like its just that panic attacks aren't the best thing to have when your trying to get through school.

I got out of bed and started to get ready. I stated to put on my horrible green uniform, thank god girls are allowed to wear trousers and don't have to wear kilts all the time!

Next up is my hair, like normal I just straighten it and clip back my fringe. My make up is just natural for school, what's the point there's no one I want to impress anyway.

I got my school bag and headed down the stairs. My Nana is in the kitchen waiting to drop me to school.

"Hi Shauna"

"Hi Nana"

"Do you want to get something to eat before I drop you to school?"

"No it's fine, you know I don't like to eat this early in the morning"

"Well okay let's go then"

I walked out of the kitchen and started going out of the house to the car. I texted Chloe and Rose to say that I was leaving my house now.

It only takes 5 minutes by car to get to my school so Chloe and Rose were waiting for me and of course they were as hyper as always.

"Hey hey"

"Shut up Ro, with your Hey hey, it's too early in the morning for this shit!"

"Well someone is cranky this morning" said Chloe

"I'm always cranky in the morning what's your point"

"I have to agree with you there Shauna" replied Rose.

We went to sit down at the seats at the front of the school.

"Has Tom sent you back an email yet?" Asked Chloe

"I'm not sore I haven't checked yet, but I will when I go home, I don't have internet connection here in the school"

"We'll be sure to let us know what he says" Rose said.

"Of course I will girlies"

I was so glad that there wasn't really any proper classes this week, we just had to help set things up for the end of year exams and not forgetting the end of year mass, after all we are Irish.

We all headed to the gym where we had to clean and organise out the chairs for the exams that start for the other years tomorrow.

As I was stacking chairs, on of the teachers Mrs English came over and said that I had to go to the front of the school as my Mother was here to talk to me.

As I was walking to the front of the school I couldn't help but think why she was here, did something bad happen to someone?

As I walked up to my mam, she was smiling so I knew it was good news.

"Shauna guess what?"

"What's wrong mam?"

"Your going to see your brother for the rest of the summer"

"What? When?"

"Your flight is tomorrow at 12pm"

"But I thought that he wasn't home until this weekend"

"Yes but he got out of work early so he could come home"

"Okay so will I go home and pack?"

"Yeah that would be a good idea, after all you need to make sure you have everything, you are going for a month you will need a lot of stuff"

As I was leaving the school I couldn't help but smile, I was finally getting the big brother I always wanted.
