I woke up the next morning feeling really excited. I hate flying so I knew I would want to wear something comfortable. I got out a pair of leggings, and a baggy top and my white converse. I put my hair up into a messy bun and quickly put on some mascara and eyeliner.
I made sure I had everything I needed in my hand luggage. Phone, iPod, chargers, glasses, book, and not forgetting my ear phones.
I raced down the stairs and made sure all of my bags were at the front door. I walked into the kitchen to see if my mother was up, she was.
"Good-morning honey, are you excited"
"I actually can't wait thank you for letting me go"
"No problem, now get some toast so we can leave and get you to the airport"
"Okay mammy"
I walked over to the bread bin and took out two slices of bread and walked over to the toaster.
As I stood waiting for the toast to be done, I started thinking about what the next month had in-store for me and I couldn't help but be excited. The toast popping up startled me from my thoughts.
I buttered the toast and ate it and as fast as I could starting heading to the airport as quick as possible.
My mam and myself put my luggage in the boot, and got into the car. As my mother started the engine she said "well off we go" and I couldn't help but smile to myself.
It took us two hours to get to the airport, I took my luggage out of the boot and said goodbye to my mam.
"Have a safe flight honey"
"I will don't worry! Bye mam"
I brought my luggage into the airport and over to the check in desk. I checked myself and my luggage in. And went through security, thank god I didn't beep while going through the scanner!.
I looked at the time and I realised that I had a hour left until my flight took off. So I made my way to the boarding gate.
People were already starting to board the plane so I lined up too.
"Can I see your passport and ticket please?"
"Of course here you go"
"Thank you"
I boarded the plane and I found my seat 32B. It looks like there is no one sitting beside me, at lea to won't have to listen to someone talking for all of the flight.
As the engines in the plane came to life I put in my ear phones and closed my eyes, thinking about what the next few hours will bring.
