Chapter 45: Sincere

Lucys pov:

There was two knocks on the door. It felt uneasy to me, i held Carlos closer to me as Gray went to answer the door.

After he opened the door he seemed angry. Why? Because Natsu was right there, standing infront of Gray.

"Can i come in?" Natsu looked down at the floor, Gray looked at me asking what we should do. I only nodded but was on guard, so was Gray.

He walked in without making a sound. He stood infront of me and stared at the baby. I held Carlos closer, afraid that Natsu would do something.

Gray was right behind him incase he tried to do something funny.

"Im sorry" Natsu broke the silence between everyone. He still stared sadly at Carlos.

"Im sorry for trying to ruin your future Lucy. Im just upset that im not the one thats gonna stay with you forever. I wanted to be that person." Natsu then looked at me with a sad look in his eyes. I searched if he was sincere through his eyes, it seemed like it.

"I forgive you..." i blinked twice and looked over at Gray. Grays reaction was the same as mine. Natsu smiled lightly and turned around, showing the back of his shirt. He stared at Gray for a long time.

"Take care of her will ya? Dont fuck it up like i did" He said calmly then left the room just like that. Silence filled the air.

The room got cold for some reason, Carlos was sound asleep and Gray just stood there stunned on what just happened. I would walk towards him and give him a hug but im still recovering from all the pain.

"You dont see that everyday" i giggled, trying to brighten up the mood. The room got warmer by the second. Gray nodded and chuckled. He walked towards us and kissed my cheek.

"And you dont get a beautiful fiance and son everyday" He laughed, i laughed as well. Life was perfect.

"Now all we have to do is wait one month till we get married." He picked up Carlos from my arms and placed him in his temporary crib.

"Can't wait" i smiled thinking about our future. I couldnt have asked for a better life.

3 days later... (im lazy :3)

Grays pov:

Its been three days since Carlos was born. Lucy recovered quickly, i havent left once from her side. Today, the doctors were gonna let Lucy and Carlos out.

In about 5 minutes we were gonna be able to leave this place, i dont really have good memories at a hospital but now i do. I walked out of the hospital room to get the car at the front while two nurses guided Lucy to the front of the hospital with Carlos in her arms and in a wheel chair.

Soon after, we arrived home with Carlos. It was exciting, Levy, Gajeel, Lyon and Juvia greeted us home.

It was late at night now, everyone left. Lucy held Carlos and shushing him to sleep then placing him in the crib next to our bed.

We both smiled at each other and went to bed.

Today was amazing.
