It is damp
dark,
and cold
in the middle of June
yet I see the sun
shining down on me.
It is wild
and fierce
I fear my fears
may crease to be
my nightmares
anymore and maybe
turning into reality
I see the setting sun
with a collage
of colors
filling summers
with adventure
to venture
into the unknown
for my mind, blown.
From side to side,
I look and I stare.
Nobody is there.
Nothing is to be shared.
Bravery and courage,
although not my strengths,
fill me alongside determination.
I fill myself with motivation.
Although as false as it may be,
I feel independence resonate within me.
Although tense and unused,
I'll get rid of my mind's abuse.
Each step I take
will make
a better place
without the disgrace.
I look into the night
no longer filled with fright
instead the calm waters
row softly to shore.
Now, light comes ahead
and I am no longer blinded
instead
I see a bright future bred.
