KIM SUHEE.
i watched in pure shock, frozen in my spot and breathing heavily.
he wanted to kill me this much?
"i hate you." he said angrily–so angrily you could see it in his aura. "i won't let you live this time—"
"do it." i said, stopping my hands from trembling.
"kill me."
sungho had a moment of surprise—but quickly recovered, a evil expression making its way up his face once again. "okay. i'll kill you, kim suhee."
this is my deserved ending. what comes after death? more suffering? or more suffering for others?
"you're pathetic." sungho sneered, his fingers tightening against the trigger.
"i know." i said, looking straight into sungho's cold eyes, bracing myself for the final blow. the last one.
i was searching for any last bit of sympathy in his eyes. any love left in him. but there was none.
at least after this, i am sure that i have paid my price.
sungho's finger tensed up against the trigger, finally pulling it. there was a click, followed by a loud bang that rang loudly through my ears.
but something happened before the bullet could be even aimed at me.
there was a flash of black that went passed me, charging straight towards sungho. the third party that had arrived knocked sungho's gun to the side, where the bullet lodged itself inside the wall next to me.
that bullet could've went straight through me if it wasn't for this interference.
i gasped and stepped back quickly, my brain suddenly mixed up at the appearance of the stranger. they were wearing so fast—i couldn't even catch a glimpse of their face.
the third party continued punching with dangerous accuracy and speed, and i watched in horror as sungho struggled to fight back.
i didn't know what to do, so i grabbed the knife beside me. regardless of him trying to kill me, i still loved him. i do love him.
but before i could take a single step closer, the third party took out a glistening blade—where they plunged it straight into sungho's gut.
sungho struggled for the last time, and then slumped against the wall, his mouth filling with crimson blood and trickling out in the corner of his lips.
the killer removed the knife cleanly, dropping it, where the blade stuck in the wood floor with a clank.
i have never felt worse pain in my entire life. watching the one i loved get stabbed right in front of my eyes. tear prickled in my eyes and i let out a half-scream, half-cry. i didn't even think once that this person had just saved me. i didn't care.
a new anger and craving for revenge boiled up inside of me. i let out a furious grunt, charging towards the third party and slamming them against the wall.
the killer didn't even move. they didn't even respond as i held the knife to their throat.
i breathed heavily as water filled my eyes once again, recalling the murderous scene i had just seen.
i stared closely at the killer's features that looked too handsome to be the ones of a murderer.
my eyes widened even more, after realizing something.
it was the man from last night.
