Chapter 1.. a fairy tale love story (part 1)

Do u guys belive in fairy tales.. well I do.. I have no reasons to not believe in them. My life is like a fairy tale. Well let me introduce myself to u.. My name is Shreya Khurrana.. i am the only child of my parents. My mom Nandini Khurrana and my dad Rajesh Khurrana loves me alot. Though my dad is a little strict but I know he loves me the most. My mom is a sweet heart. She is the kindest lady i have ever seen. I think the kindness I have in me is inheritated by my mom to me.

My kindness is what leads me to be a social worker. My mom owns a NGO and I assist her in that. My dad is a businessman. We are among the richest people in the town but I like living my life like a normal girl..  even after having a lot of money i like travelling in local trains and busses.. my dad is not happy with me leading life of a middle class girl. But I like being that way.. because living life this way has tought me how to find happiness in small things. Like the happiness of getting a vacant seat in a bus or train. Getting discounts on the shops i visit regularly. Happiness of eating street food beyond limits. Yeah i am a big time foodie.. i love eating. Food is my first love. People call me fat but thats not my concern. I have not said them not to eat they can eat as much as they can.. even sometimes Dad calls me fat.But my mom never calls me fat. She says I m cute.

Mayank too called me fat once but then he apologised me with a big tub of chocolate icecream and i forgave him.

Mayank is my fiance.. we got engaged 2 months back. He is currently in Dubai for some meeting. Mayank is my prince charming. He loves me alot. Though sometimes he insults me calling me ugly fat and all those insulting things but I know he loves me and when he is in stress he insults me so that his stress is relieved. It hurts whenever he insults me but its okay. I know he loves me so i dont keep it in my heart for long. My friend says I m stupid that I am marrying Mayank. Because they feel he is not the right guy for me, and i deserve better.. but I love Mayank.

I met Mayank 2 yrs ago...

Flashback..

Shreya works in an NGO. After completing her work.. she was standing on the bus stop for bus. It was 8:30 pm.. usually the bus stop was crowded but due to storms and rain the bus stop was almost empty... Shreya was waiting for her bus.. when suddenly a few drunkard goons came and stood on the bus stop. They were highly drunk and the smell of alcohol disgusted Shreya. She moves a little away from them but when they looked at Shreya they started passing cheap comments to Shreya.

One of the goons tried touching Shreya but she grabbed the goon's wrist and twisted it backwards. The goon yelled in pain, while the other goons got scared and ran away. But Shreya was very angry so she pushed the goon on the ground and ran after the others.

She almost catched one of them but a car came from no where and stopped just at a centimeter distance from her.. due to the impact she fell on the ground with a thud.

A tall, handsome man in business suit came out of the car's driver seat and came towards Shreya who was still on the ground. As soon as Shreya saw him she yelled at him "if u dont know how to drive then u should not".
The man apologetically said "i m so sorry Ma'am i was in a rush. And suddenly u came infront of the car. I lost my control..".
Shreya again yelled "just get lost. Stupid".
Then she tried to get up but she again fell back on the ground with a thud.
The man on looking at her difficulty to get up. Extended a hand towards her.
Shreya looked at his hand and then at him. Her anger was slightly decreased a bit. So she accepted his help and stood up.
After standing up. Shreya mumbled "thankyou".
The man smiled and replied "ur welcome."
The man then said "ma'am if u dont mind i can drop u wherever u want to go".
Shreya thought for a minute and said "can u please drop me at the nearest hospital. I really need to get my ankle treated otherwise.. i hope its not a fracture.."
The man nodded and said "okay come i'll drop u at the hospital."
Shreya nodded and the man helped her to get seated in the passenger seat while he himself sat on the driver's seat.

Soon after 5 minutes they were infront of a hospital. The man helped Shreya in getting out of the car and reaching the reception.

The receptionist gave a smile at Shreya and the Man and said "yes. How can i help u?."
Shreya said" i need a dr. I have injured my ankle"
The receptionist nodded and said "at this moment Dr. Sharma will look at ur ankle. U go straight and take a left and the 3rd cabin is Dr. Sharmas's.".

The receptionist asked Shreya "Ma'am your name please?".
Shreya replied "Shreya Khurrana".
The receptionist entered her name in the computer and gave a paper to Shreya and said " ma'am take this and u need to show this to dr. Sharma's assistant".
Shreya took the paper and went towards the dr.

On reaching the cabin shreya looked at the man who was still following Shreya. And said "thankyou so much mr...??".
The man replied "Mayank Chopra. And u dont need to thank me. Its my duty. U are injured because of me. So infact i should apologize.".
Shreya shook her head in a no and said "no mr. Chopra thanku really thankyou for dropping me here. And i m sorry for yelling at u. Actually i was really pissed at those goons and just snapped at u. I m really sorry.".
Mayank replied "its absolutely fine. ".

Shreya then said " i think u must leave as u were rushing somewhere. And because of me u r already late".

Mayank "no Miss its fine. And moreover I cant leave u here and go. Its my duty to drop u home safely and its already very late. U will hardly get any transport at this time."

Shreya "but Mr. Choppp...".

Mayank interrupted her and said " no miss Khurrana i insist u. Please let me drop u. I wont be able to take a relief until u safely reach home".

Shreya shrugged her shoulders and said "okay".

Soon shreya was called inside the cabin while Mayank sat on a bench outside the cabin.

After sometime Shreya came out of the Cabin with a crape bandage around her ankle.
Mayank stood and went towards her " are you fine miss Khurrana? I hope ur ankle is fine?".
Shreya "yeah its just a sprain. It will get better in 2 days.".
Mayank sighed in relief "thankgod".
Shreya smiled and said "so lets move. Its very late".
Mayank " yeah sure come".

They went towards the car. Mayank was holding Shreya's hand to help her walk. Soon they went to the car. Shreya and Mayank sat on thier respective seats. Mayank asked for shreya's address soon both reached Shreya's home. "Okay Mr. Chopra thankyou so much for the ride. My mom will be really happy to meet u".

Mayank replied sadly "actually Miss Khurrana i just lost a very important deal so i need to go meet the investors to apologize them.".

Shreya was shocked "oh no. Is it the meeting that u were rushing for?"

Mayank nodded sadly.

Shreya was equally sad and guilty" i m so sorry Mr. Chopra. U lost the deal because of me.. i m really sorry.  I dont know how to even apologize to u.. i m.. soo...".

Mayank "its okay Miss. Khurrana. Its not ur fault. Maybe the deal was never mine... anyway so i need to move. Bye good night and take care.". With a small fake smile.

Shreya nodded and said" u too take care and i m really sorry. Bye".

Mayank soon left the place in his car and Shreya stood there sadly.
