Only You

Chapter One

Budapest, June 1, 1992

Leon meets Elsa on the train from Budapest and starts a conversation with her.

"I'm going to Vienna to catch a flight back to Los Angeles."

"I returned to university in Paris after visiting my grandmother."

When they reached Vienna, Leon convinced Elsa to come down with him.

"You'd better come down with me!"

Then Elsa followed him as she told him about her life.

"For 10 years I was unhappy with my marriage and maybe I was wondering how my life would be different if I chose another man, and this was my chance to realize that I was not much different from the others in the sense of 'boring people who do not have motivation"

"I do not think you're a boring woman! I'm proof I'm enjoying our conversation"

Leon had to catch a flight early in the morning and did not have enough money to rent a room for the night, so he decided to hang around Vienna.

After visiting several landmarks in Vienna, they shared a kiss on the top of the Wiener Riesenrad at sunset and began to experience a romantic relationship.

As they continued to roam around the city, they began to talk more openly to each other, with conversations ranging from topics about love, life, and their observations about the city.

"I last broke up with my boyfriend about six months ago even though I loved him too much, what made you want to go to Europe?"

"At first I came to Europe to spend time with my girlfriend who was studying in Madrid but I broke up with her and I tried to avoid it by deciding to take a flight home through Vienna, but I did not leave for two weeks. I finally bought a train ticket and got around Europe. "

As they walked beside the Donaukanal (Danube channel) they were approached by a man who, instead of begging, offered to write a poem with their chosen words in it.

Leon and Elsa decide the word "milkshake", and immediately presented with the poem Guardian
Angel.

In a traditional Viennese cafe, Leon and Elsa had a fake telephone conversation with each other, playing each other's friends pretending they were calling.

"Hi Leon, what are you doing now?"
"I was looking at a woman so beautiful and amazed me!"
"Where is she?"
"She is in front of me who is playing her hair"
"LOL! You're so cute, Leon!"
" Of course!"
"I'm ready to go with you"
"Well then! After I broke up with my girlfriend, I bought a flight that really was not much cheaper and all I wanted was an escape from my life."

"I'm very interested in you"
"I like you too much"
"I hope we can together like now"

They acknowledge their interest in each other even though they understand that they may not see each other again when they leave.

They just decide to make the best of the time left, ending the night with the implications of the sexual encounter between them.

At that point, Leon explained that if given a choice, he would marry her rather than never see her again.

The next day at the train station, just as Elsa's train is leaving, the couple decides not to exchange contact information but meet in the same place in six months.
