Chapter Two

Nine years earlier, Leon and Elsa had met and had a brief meeting in Vienna.

Leon's new novel, My Love Story, was inspired by that night, and became a bestseller. He toured books in Europe, including Paris.

He meets fans with his fans at a bookstore. Three journalists attended a fan meeting to interview Leon.

Many fans believe the main character of the book meets again, while others do not, and one-third want it but doubt it will happen.

When Leon talks to the audience, his eyes are hanging around and he sees Elsa there, smiling at him.

After a fan meeting, the bookstore manager reminded Leon to leave for the airport for about an hour.

"Sorry Mr. Mcknight, I just remind you to leave for the airport in about an hour"
" Thank you for reminding"

Not for some time Elsa came to Leon and asked him to speak. Their conversation became very personal.

"Have not seen you in a long time"
"It does not feel nine years old we split up"
" How are you?"
"As you can see, I'm fine!"
" In that case, good"

They began to talk about work with increased enthusiasm. Then begin to approach their initial feelings with each other.

"You are now a great and famous novelist"
"Thanks Elsa! If I do not meet you, I can not be a novelist!"
"I know, you write our story until everyone knows about us"

They talked about their failure to meet as planned six months after their first meeting. Leon returns to Vienna but Elsa does not, because her grandmother dies.

"I'm so sorry when we failed to meet as we planned our first meeting"

"Forgive me at that time I could not meet you because my grandmother died and all my family mourning for her death"

"I was back in Vienna and I was waiting for you but you did not come in. It's unfortunate we never exchange addresses, so we have no way of contacting each other at that time."

Their talk reveals how their lives have changed over the nine years they split up.

"I'm married now and have a son. What about you?"

"I am now a lawyer and I have a photographer's boyfriend."

They each express some dissatisfaction with their lives.

"To be honest, I'm not satisfied with my life because I always disagree with my wife in the affairs of educating our son"

"So it is with me who always disagree with my boyfriend. Not seldom we always quarrel"

They talked as they walked in Paris. Their feelings slowly come back to life because of one night they were together. They begin to understand each other.

"My novel is inspired by my hope of seeing you again and it brings me back to painful memories when I can not see you."

"Why do not we go to my apartment now?"
" Good idea!"

Then Elsa invites Leon to her apartment.

"I want you to play
guitar for me. The song is about our brief meeting before. "

Leon puts his favorite singer CD on a stereo system. Elsa danced as she listened to the song and Leon noticed it.

Elsa said, "Baby, you will miss the plane."

Leon smiled and said, "I know."

"So you want to be here with me?"
"Of course dear!"
Finally Leon missed the plane and prefers with Elsa
