It's been three days since they got married. Three day since her husband returned home.Sanyukta looked towards the clock waiting for his arrival. He was supposed to return today. He had left for a conference meet soon after their wedding leaving her all alone.
Sanyukta was uncertain of her marriage but she was determined to make it work.
For her,
For him,
For them.
She felt blessed to have Renuka as her mother in law but at the same time she was scared that she would loose her.
The door bell broke her trance. And she hurriedly rushed towards the door. A faint smile captured her lips as she saw him standing before her. Her husband.
He had a bored expression on his face as he looked at her and thus the lips that curled into a sweet smile twisted to form a frown at his coldness.
"Should I stand at the door to entertain you?" He mocked at her while she blinked her eyes trying to grasp that he actually spoke to her.
"Are you talking to me?" Sanyukta asked out of blue still confused at the exchange of words.
"Do you find anyone else here? Or do you think I can talk with the dead?" Randhir asked amused at her reaction.
Sanyukta widened her eyes, she quickly turned behind her looking for someone, thus confusing Randhir. Unable to find anyone, she looked towards him and asked a question which left him speechless.
"You can really talk to the dead?"
Sanyukta asked innocently and his face broke into a smile for a second before he veiled it behind his arrogant face.
"You know what, I am too tired to have this question and answer round standing outside my house."
Realising what he meant, she moved aside allowing him inside the house. Sanyukta realised how silly did she sound. She just asked him if he could talk to the dead.
'Oh god what's wrong with me' She thought.
'Seriously sanyukta how silly was that! What would he think? That he married a crazy women' Scolded her subconscious mind.
"Should I get you something to eat?" Sanyukta asked her husband who was resting on the couch.
"No thanks. Just call my mom, she knows what I need." Randhir said ignoring her fallen face.
'My mom? Isn't she my maa as well?' She thought.
"Maa is out for an event at her friends house. You can tell me." Sanyukta insisted.
"She is just my mom. And you are not my wife to do things for me." Randhir said as he gave her a hard glare before leaving the place. And she felt a stab in her heart for the second time.
