-Thorin's POV-

One day, I'm roaming around through our halls when I suddenly hear someone utter the word 'Natira'. I come to an abrupt halt and look at who it is. It's one of the counselors talking to another counselor. I listen to their conversation carefully.

"....Natira is.....Thranduil's halls.."

What? I know she travels through Mirkwood but why doesn't she just take the road and come straight here?

"... She's not in life danger anymore and.."

Wait?! What did you say? Life danger? My wife is injured?

".. An attack of spiders.. She got hit and stung and passed out....... Gimli is also injured but he too is outside of life danger now..."

You let my wife travel all the way to Rivendell with only one guard and then be surprised when she gets injured?! I am so angry but I can't show myself to them without freaking them out. But maybe..Maybe I don't care about that..

I make myself visible and yell in my deep voice. "Don't you ever let my wife travel with only one guard ever again!!" I disappear again.

The counselors gasp in shock and watch me with widened eyes. When I disappear again, they blink in confusion, wondering if it was real. "D-did you see that?" One asks the other. "Y-yeah I did.. I think he wanted to make us something clear.." The other nods. "Yeah.. I don't care who that was, or what that was, but maybe we should obey it.. Maybe we...."

I did my work and now it's not interesting anymore so I leave. I'm off to sit in a corner and worry about Natira. Poor thing. I thought these damn elves would've killed these spiders by now.

-Natira's POV-

I wake up in a bed that smells of nature. I gasp softly and try to sit up but it hurts. Someone pushes me back down. I open my eyes, and look up to see an elf, as I had expected. I'm kind of disappointed I didn't die.. I could've been with Thorin then, I could've given his soul rest. Oh well, I have to take care of Erebor and Laila.

The elf speaks. "Goodmorning queen under the mountain. It is good to see you awake. You are safe here and your body is slowly recovering." I watch him in confusion. I kinda forgot what had happened. "Where's Gimli?" I ask immediately, my eyes searching the room. "In another room. He is gravely injured but he will be well. We have sent word to Erebor about it." He says. I think it's a he. It doesn't have boobs.

I look at my body. There's a bandage wrapped around my waist, and another one around my leg. I'm covered in small cuts and bruises, also from the forest ground. My head hurts like hell, and my beard and hair are a mess. I sigh. I wonder how long I need to stay with these elves. As if he telepathically knows, he says. "You can go home in a couple days. We sent a messager to tell them that they need to bring a cart for you and Gimli because you can't ride in this condition."

I sigh in defeat, knowing he's right. I would've done it if there was no one to tell me otherwise, but I know I'm too important to the dwarves to risk my life on something silly. Wait, they sent word to Erebor. What if Thorin hears? If he hears of this he might get angry, or upset. I guess I'm too far away for him to heal. I want to go back soon. Talk to him, tell him what I heard in Rivendell.

Lord Elrond gave me a book, I wonder where that is now are ponies are gone. The ponies! I look up the elf. "Have your people seen our ponies?" He nods. "Yes. It was because of the fact your ponies came running to our halls that we went out into the forest. It's because of them you are alive." I smile a bit. Such a smart pony. She's Minty's daughter. Minty was a brilliant pony, suited for my husband. When she got a child it was determined to be mine. She was old now though, I might lose her. I shake my head. Best not think of that. Best now think of recovering. Closing my eyes, I fall asleep again quickly. I am plagued by no nightmares.
