There was always a tension between everyone, it was always thick in the air when they were alone. It was almost always silent, although there were always things that needed to be said. That's how Dan always felt, like he needed to say something to break the silence. He wanted to say so many things, words that would most likely never be heard. Words involve the lead singer of this band. How beautiful he was, how amazing his voice was, how every time Dan sees him it's like his sun is finally rising, like his Earth can finally revolve around the sun. Almost like love, but that couldn't possibly be it. It can't be, nor will it ever be.
Another night on the bus, another night of being alone and distraught in his cramped bunk, another twenty-hour drive. Dan decided that he didn't want to be alone anymore, so he climbed out of his bunk and took the three steps to Remington's bed.
"Hey," he says, peeking his head in and sitting on the edge of the bed. Remington jumped, but then he replies with a simple "hi."
"So what's up," Dan asks, waiting for the rehearsed "Nothing", but he was happy to hear an actual answer. Remington had been writing a new song, but when Dan asked about it he was extremely hesitant show it, before changing the topic of conversation.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Remington asks, putting his notebook to the side.
"We could watch a movie?" Dan suggested. Remington moves around until his back is nearly parallel to the wall, the low ceiling keeping him from fully sitting up. "What movie?" He asks.
After several minutes of scrolling through the thousands of movies on Netflix, They finally decided on watching The Office. It was one of the Christmas episodes, although Christmas was still a month away.
(I'm so sorry for being gone so long, also sorry for this really short chapter, I didn't like writing in third person. The next chapter should be out tommorow or possibly even today, and it will be extra long as an apology for my bullshit.)
