Adithi's POV-"Should we speak to them?" My uncle asked me.
"No, I'll speak to them." I told him and walked to where Kearth aunty was standing.
"Uh.. aunty. Aapse ek minute baat karni thi." I told her.
She excused herself and walked to me.
"Bolo." She smiled.
"Actually woh-" "Oh, by the way, before I forget. Hum shaadi south indian tradition se kar rahe hai. Because, I know, har ladki ka sapna hota hai ki apne tradition se shaadi kare." She smiled, touching my cheek.
I grinned back at her.
"Tum kuch keh rahi thi." Aunty stated.
"Iske baare mein hi baat karne aayi thi." I smiled. She smiled at me and kissed my forehead.
"Ab aunty nahi, mummy bulao." She smiled.
"Ji au- Ji mummy." I smiled.
I walked back to my aunty and uncle and smiled at them. They smiled back, understanding everything.
"I'm happy you found such a beautiful family." Aunty smiled.
"Even me. I'm so lucky to have them." I said.
Suddenly, I felt two warm arms wrap around myself.
"We're lucky to have you." Shub kissed my cheek. I smiled at him.
"Kisiki nazar naa lage tum dono ko." My aunty said, grinning at us.
Shub hugged me tightly from behind, as if telling me that he'd never let me go.
----
"Shub, get out. I'm getting my mehendi done." I scolded.
"Let me see." He said.
"No." I said, hiding my hands.
"Oye. Shaadi ke baad dekh lena. Abhi dafa ho jaa yaha se." Shub's chachi scolded him.
"Please na chachi." He begged her.
"Shubman Gill. Out of here. Now." She said pointing at the door. I stiffled a laughter as Shub glared at me.
"Bye jaan." I winked at him.
My mehendi was almost done. The mehendi on my legs were very beautiful but nothing compared to the one on my hands. They were beyond beautiful.
Shubman's name was written on my ring finger in punjabi.
I can't believe I'm getting married to him. Now, I know, why people say miracles take place. Shub seeing me in that match was indeed a miracle. The girl he thought he'd never see again is now getting married to him.
It's funny, isn't it? Life has it's own games. I lost my parents who had no time for me. Now, I got in-laws who love me so much and have all the time in the world for me.
Mine and Shubman's relationship has been nothing more than a roller coaster.
A roller coaster, we've survived together.
A roller coaster, we've enjoyed together.
All these ups and downs in the end are worth it.
And, when it comes to Shubman Gill, everything is worth it.
Tomorrow is a big day in every girl's life and I'd be experiencing that. I'm really lucky to have Shubman in my life. I wouldn't trade him for anything in this world.
He's the reason, I live.
He's the reason, I breathe.
He's my oxygen.
Because, I know.
If I'd ever be gasping for breath, he'd be my oxygen.
