(Y/N) and I had been dating openly to the public for about a month now, and today was the first interview that I knew they'd be asking about our relationship. My palms were a bit sweaty, because I personally liked to keep my relationships private, especially considering how important (Y/N) is to me.
I sat on a couch, and smiled calmly at Ellen Degeneres who had just introduced me to the camera and audience. She asked me the basic questions about my new Marvel movie that was coming up, and finally I saw a picture of me and (Y/N) on the big screen behind us.
I recognized the picture and blushed.
"So this was taken on one of your dates following the confirmation of the relationship?" Ellen asked politely.
"Actually this was taken on our third or fourth date I believe, before the public knew we were dating. We went to some sports game together, seemingly as friends, and she quickly took a secret selfie of me kissing her cheek. We weren't allowed to post it until later though."
"Well that's super cute." Ellen smiled, glad that the secret was spilled on her show.
I nodded and the picture on the big screen switched to a screenshot of one of (Y/N)'s Instagram pictures. I let out a laugh because I knew where this was going. In the photograph, (Y/N) was sitting in a pile of cats, looking extremely excited while holding and kissing one of the kittens.
"See I find this interesting because I believe you did an interview a few years ago..." Ellen continued, before the video of me saying that I hated cats appeared on the screen.

"Well see, Ellen, when you love someone enough, you can look over the fact that they're a cat person." I joked. Ellen laughed loudly at this before I continued. "Actually, although (Y/N) does love cats, she likes dogs as well. She knows I'm allergic to cats, and currently she has a pet dog, so we honestly don't have a problem. Plus she's warmed me up to the idea that not all cats are evil."
"Wow, so Tom Holland is dating a cat person." Ellen confirmed with a laugh.
"She's more like an every animal person...except creepy animals...she doesn't like those." I made a disgusted scared face which made the crowd roar with laughter.
"Well thank you Tom! Tom Holland, everybody!" Ellen yelled, cueing that my time was up. I was glad she hadn't pried too far into my personal life. I smiled and waved at the crowd as Ellen talked about who was up next.
