Chapter 6

"Is the suitcase packed?" He turns to Melanie looking her up and down. She looks comfortable and he's excited to see the look on her face when she finds out that they're not flying. He wants to show her the beauty of various places. He wants to show her the whole country and everywhere they'll pass in between. "You look gorgeous doll." He smiles. His lips fall against hers while he watches her shove a last few things into a suitcase and then pack a little purse like bag which she plans on carrying around with her. He loves to watch her do things, no matter what it is. She's always very concentrated on every task and not once does she look at anything else.

"I just wanted to be comfy!" She smiles. Her head falls against his shoulder and he holds her tightly there. He likes her hugs, and they make her happy too she's showing him she loves him without saying a word and he takes it. She loves the contact and he loves to feel her body against his, to feel the love she's trying to give but doesn't know how to. "Airplanes are usually cold," She mumbles stepping back and grabbing one of her favourite blankets, she lays it on top of her purse and nods. She's finished packing, everything she needs. They slowly make their way out of their home. It's strange to call it that, they don't spend much time here. They're generally in hotels but it's nice to have this place to look forward to when the long trips are over. It's nice to know that you have your own bed to go back to, to lay down in and to cuddle in. It's infinitely better than hotel beds.

Slowly he puts their bags into the trunk of taxi cab they're going to take to the station. He's bringing her on a train ride. He's not sure if she'll love it or not but he thinks it'll be fun, and quiet, romantic even. They'll be happy and they'll have lots of alone time. "Are you comfortable?" He hums holding onto his girlfriends shoulder while she lay against his. She's been very tired this week and he knows that. She has a very draining job and there are lots of things she just has to do for him wether she wants to or not. A lot of the orders don't even come from him, he's to sheepish to command her to do something so the others do.

"I am." She nods. Her lips place gentile kisses against his neck, she uses her perfectly manicured hand to carefully trace the veins that are popping out of his neck. "Am I annoying you?" She whispers very softly, delicately even. Her lips still work at his neck but it's only with pure and sweet intentions, she just wants to give him kisses. She wants to give him love.

"Not in the slightest." He reassures kissing her gently. He quite enjoys it actually, the attention he's not used to getting the love she doesn't normally give it's all so amazing for him. "We're almost there love."

...

They sit in the car intended for meals, they make routine stops so that they can change cars and move to where they need to be but they almost let them cross over via the couplings. It's not very frequent that that happens though. "I'm cold?" She sniffs gently. To her it's only the train being cold but for him it's watching her get sicker and sicker. He calmly makes his way towards her sitting next to her and hugging her tightly. He gives her cuddles to warm her up and feeds her the food she's barely touched. She's been refusing to eat much.

"Are you warmer now?" When she refuses to eat more food he wraps his other arm round her and hugs her even tighter. He just wants her to be happy, and warm.

"I am." She lays against hind shoulder staring out the window next to him. "It's really beautiful." She smiles at the scenery bringing her knees into her chest. He covers as much of her body as he can trying to offer her warmth but she's still cold. He pulls his sweater off and gives it to her. He can barely tell the difference but she was so cold he felt bad.
