Chapter 1: Destructive Beginnings

I'm running. Running with my prize in my hand. I can't stop till I get to the woods or it will all be over. I can almost see that execution stand at the top of Gloomy Hill. Newspaper headlines reading:
"THIEF CAUGHT STEALING FOOD" or "YOUNG BOY TO BE EXECUTED FOR THEFT!".
But if I got caught they would come, but if they came, there would be casualties, casualties on both sides. There would be a war!

A shiver runs down my spine just thinking about it. We would win of course, but seeing all my friends dying or mourning would break me. And then there's the possibility that they don't get to me in time or of me being tortured for their whereabouts.

Conversational Complications

Around a corner, through a graveyard and into the dark woods I go. Dashing to the left and right at regular intervals. Just up ahead is an abandoned school A.K.A our hideout.

"Hey Joe! What supplies did you get?"

"I got herbs, spices and meat as well as a few First Aid kits."

"Oh that sucks, I was hoping you would get some real grog."
"You're way too young for grog and you know that Sabo!"

"I am not! I'm sixteen.  You're three years younger"

"And three times smarter."

"That's not my point!"

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE SHUT UP! I NEED TO COOK!"

"Sorry Nanyah. We'll stop."

" I think that would be a good idea."

"No-one asked your opinion Jarah!"

"Calm down Sabo!"

"Fine!"

- Part Two -

"By the way, why were you away for so long?"

"...I accidentally punched someone. Grabbed their purse afterwards, of course."

"Pfft. Yup, totally accidental. How much?"

'Two hundred."

"What! You need some help! Seriously you can get a bar of gold with that! Who was it?!"
"A merchant."

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!! IF YOU WERE CAUGHT WE WOULD ALL DIE AT THE DROP OF A HAT!!!"

"By the way, where are the others?"

"Dunno, out on a hunting trip or something. "

"But I went out a day before them and they were only on a hunting trip. They should be done by now!"

"The empire must have them! We have to save them! Sabo! Go grab the horses and we'll get the supplies. Come on!"
