CHAPTER-34-HORIZON

They all went in the police station . The police officer interrogated everyone.

Phoenix told him everything. " I understand but for now we don't have any evidence against Shu-ki that he killed Mako and your family but we still have something to punish him on the basis of the incident that occurred now. Until and unless you prove yourself innocent you are not free from the blame at least if you prove that he killed your family then we can relate the cases and give him the appropriate punishment", the police officer said. Phoenix didn't replied anything .

The officer asked her to join the others outside and interrogated the rest.

" We have completed the interrogation session. Jungkook and Mr Jhan you both can go. I have talked with the doctor you can take Eunjoo with you she is all right now ", the officer said . Then he turned to Phoenix, " Miss, you have to stay in the custody for today and tomorrow we will send you to Seoul for further investigation."

" If you don't mind can I visit a place before going to Seoul. I promise to come back in an hour", Phoenix requested . "I know but I can't let you go", the officer said. " So I'll take her responsibility", Jungkook and supported . "Ok, but come back in an hour", the officer said.

They all went out of the police station. JHan went out to take Eunjoo from the hospital and Phoenix and Jungkook took JHan's car.

" Where are we going?", Jungkook asked her while she was driving . "To my house", she replied. After few minutes they reached there. They went in the house , when they entered the house Phoenix straightaway went in the hall and stood near a picture of sea she kept on staring it for a few seconds. She then removed the picture from the wall.

Jungkook was watching her as he didn't had any idea about what she was doing she opened the frame. Jungkook was shocked to see it. It was a pendrive kept inside the frame of the picture. " What is this? How did you knew that it was here?", he asked.

"It is the evidence against Shu-ki. When we were going to parking lot after taking the file I just flipped some of its pages and on the last page of the file , it was written ' Alternate: behind the Horizon", Phoenix replied . "So all the time you knew that there is also an alternate file ", he asked . "Yes ", she said. " So why didn't you told us", he question. " Because I was not sure that I'll find it or not ", she answered.

After being silent for some time , Jungkook broke the silence. " You are so intelligent I am proud of myself because I made the right decision to date you", he commented . She smiled to it. "Its the only benefit of having a boyfriend without brains but beauty", she said mockingly.  "Thank God finally you agreed that I am handsome ", he said . She shook her head, smiled and said " You are just~", she didn't completed it because she did have the right word to describe him . Suddenly Jungkook's expression changed to a serious one and he stepped closer to her," I am very lucky to have someone with both beauty and brain". Phoenix's expression tensed a bit with the sudden moment and reduction of distance between the two, " I am also lucky have a Gorilla without brain " and she bursted into laughter .

Making her way away from him , she went to her parent's bedroom. In the cupboard she found an album and she started to turn the page . Seeing those pictures she felt the emptiness of  parents in her life . She moved her fingers over the pictures again and again in the hope that they will come back to her but her eyes got flooded with tears realising that they are never going to come back again. She started to explore all the corners of the house as you wanted to remember all those moments that he spent together with her mum and dad in that house . She was back in her home and she was releived from all the stress and worries . She wished to go back in the time when she lived with her parents but it was not possible.

Jungkook came to her and interrupted her thoughts, " I know you want to stay but we must go now we have to reach the police station on time " . She nodded her head and took a picture of her parents and sat in the car.
