I was staring at the ceiling when someone knocked at my door. I exclaimed a simple "yeah" and the door opened widely. My dad came through and sat on my bed down to my legs.
"So are we going to talk or what gorgeous?", he asked me with a guilty look as I was trying to avoid eye contact.
"Don't you gorgeous me! You are the one that left for, oh I don't know, a century?", I snapped frustrated. I knew I'd hurt him but it was the truth after all. He is the one that left us. Back then, I thought I could talk to him and forgive him and everything would be back to normal when there is no normal, but I guess I'm too angry to face it right now.
He didn't answer to that so I decided to stand up and go to the bathroom to get ready for school. I had bigger problems than my dad's pity. Peter won't talk to me and I don't even know why, so I cannot fix it. I turned around one last time before I closed the door behind me and saw a tear coming up at his eye but he wiped it off before I could blink.
Amy would pick me up for school with her Mini Cooper her uncle bought her that I was very, very jealous of. We hung out like we used to but she still talks to Tyler, and Diego is back to his gang, the first class.
"Hey gurl, what's with the face?", she made a puppy expression. I opened the door of the car and sat next to her.
"Oliver happened", I sighed with her weird face. The whole drive was filled with Amy's voice gossiping and what Diego bought to her for her birthday.
"Hey shut up for a sec.", I said harshly and she took her hand pretending to zip her mouth letting me speak. "Peter acts really weird, he doesn't talk to me or hang out with me anymore. Something is up.", I said more to myself than to her.
"What? You guys are my lovebirds, what happened?", she asked me but we had arrived at school. We got out of the car and when I tried to continue our conversation again guess who came up to us.
"Hello Amy, what's up dolly?!", Tyler asked Amy while he was looking at me. He turned his back to me and kind of pushed me far away from Amy. Right, like I care about you piece of shit. Go burn your huge ego that fills the room.
"Oh right, I forgot I was invisible today, sorry my bad.", I muttered and rolled my eyes as I was walking towards the school. Tyler giggled and yelled my name but I didn't even bother to turn around and look.
I walked inside the school and reached my locker. Which was right next to Anthony's. He was there searching for a book or something inside it. I didn't bother to say hi to him as he was a first class again and talked to Tyler like he used to.
"So you don't talk to us anymore baby girl?", he asked me smiling raising his two eyebrows. I forgot how charming he looked as I had a lot of time to look at him face to face.
"I don't think you deserve it.", I told him without looking at him. My locker got really interested those last minutes. He frowned and observed me while I was taking my books out of the locker. My Maths' book fell on the floor but I had like three other books in my hand and a cup of coffee on my other one.
"Clumsy as always.", he smirked taking the two other books and walking me to my next period. "I know that it seems ugly now Rose but you need to trust us. We don't want you to get involved again, the less you know, the better.", he said and just like that he had made my day more interesting.
"Who's we? And from what do you want to protect me?", I asked him but he looked down on the floor. "You know what? Fine I don't care do your thing, whatever it is just leave me alone, all of you.", I yelled with a harsh tone.
When I finished all my periods Amy and I went straight to the clinic to have my blood tests done. Last time I had a blood test I was like twelve or something but I guess it wasn't that bad.
We were sitting at the waiting room as there were so many people taking their blood tests. Few minutes later a lady came up to me and told me I had to get in.
"Hello Mrs Forest, sit right there please.", said a man wearing a white robe that scared the crap out of me. He pressed the needle inside my hand and took as blood as he needed. When he was done with the test I was free to go. Amy and I went outside to reach the car when I felt dizzy.
"Amy, I'm not feeling so good.", I managed to tell her holding my head.
"It's alright, a lot of people have a problem with blood. I'll get you some juice and a chocolate you'll feel better. Be right back.", and just like that she left, leaving me standing there outside of the clinic alone. Suddenly my head was heavy and I couldn't see very well and then everything went blank.
**************
"She'll be alright but you shouldn't have left her there alone. She might had hit her head.", said an unfamiliar voice.
"Well, I'm sorry I didn't think she was going to faint. Thank you for catching her.", answered Amy to the guy that talked before.
I opened my eyes and I saw Amy at my left and Antony really close to me holding me with his one hand around my back and the other one on my neck helping my head stand straight. I blinked twice as the sun came into my eyes blinding me.
"What happened?"
"You fainted. And Anthony over here caught you.", said Amy and showed him to me. Anthony waved at me. My cheeks turned red when I realized that I fainted because of a blood test. I felt so embarrassed.
"Don't worry. A lot of people can't stand blood.", he said with a smirk as he noticed how embarrassed I felt. I gave him a small smile trying to stay still for longer than 30 seconds.
"What are you doing here?", I asked him as I frowned hoking my forehead with my fingers trying to concentrate. What was he doing here anyway? Shouldn't he be with first class destroying others' lives?
"I wanted to talk to you so I followed you guys here", he answered hesitated. There was something about his look. He was concerned about something that was bothering him.
"Um..are you planning on telling us or we will stay here for a long time?", I asked him obviously annoyed by his silence.
"You mean at this place or in this position?", he snapped back with a smirk all over his face. I rolled my eyes and took Amy's hand so I could stand up straight. "We need to talk but in private.", he whispered looking back at Amy who now was taking the chocolate in the trash behind us.
"Whatever you want to tell me you can say it in front of Amy.", I told him a bit confused. It was true, I couldn't hide anything from her, she was my best friend.
"Yo Rose, we really need to go if we want to get to this party tonight.", she said when she came back. Shit!! I totally forgot about that.
"You guys are going at Mark's?", Antony asked us quickly before I could answer to her. We nodded and he sighed deeply.
"Look Antony I can't waste more time. Whatever you want to tell me you can come to me at the party. We need to go", I told him and I started walking towards the car. Weird. Just weird, Antony doesn't usually try to hide anything from Amy or any other of the first class.
Anyway I had a ton bigger problems than that at this moment. I needed to find Peter and find out why on Earth he doesn't want to see me or talk to me.
