Chapter 10

We pulled into the mall parking lot and both looked at each other. Katy was so calm but I was so frantic.

"Katy there are a lot of people here. Are you sure you just don't want to hit up the consignment shops?"

"Hey Carissa calm down. Its okay. I have you and I'll just keep my head down."

With that Katy headed out of the jeep and waited for me beside the car.

I got out and we started walking towards the mall.

We entered the mall in Nordstorm and Katy stopped and looked at me.

"Uhhh... I have no idea where I'm going. So you lead the way."

"Got it. So lets start here. I usually don't shop here or even at the mall but this place has good dresses and you wear them so...."

"Really? Okay."

With that we walked around the different aisles and went and tried on some dresses.

After an hour in there we left to some other stores.

I ended up buying lots of new Bob's and sneakers. I even bought a shirt at Journey's.

Katy was having fun shoving me into Forever 21.

She insisted on me trying on sun dresses and high waisted shorts.

"Katy don't these look like the ones for your One Of The Boys Cd cover?"

"Yea. Thats why I picked it! Now come out of there so I can see you in it!"

I walked out of the dressing room and watched Katy size me up.

She had a mischievous look in her eye. And something was hidden behind her back.

"Okay Carissa. That looks great but it needs the matching top. Unfortunately they don't have the matching top so..... I ran over to Victorias Secret and got you this!"

Katy pulled a really skimpy red bra. They had white lace dots in the middle.

My eyes widened to tennis balls.

"You see Carissa the white dots in the middle not only are for design but could represent whip cream too!"

I looked at Katy like she was crazy. No way I'm even trying on!

"Woah. Carissa relax I'm just joking. We'll get the shorts and leave to lunch. But first I want to show you a game I like to play.

Katy and me hid in the shirt rack and waited for our victim.

Soon a lady with long brown hair walked up to the rack and started looking through the racks.

The lady reached to touch the shirt and as soon as she did Katy sang..."I kissed a girl and I liked it!"

I held in my laughter as the lady looked around confused. She seemed to dismiss the disruption and went to touch the shirt again..."THE TASTE OF HER CHERRY CHAPSTICK. I kissed a girl just to try it!"

The lady looked around again and glanced around the rack moving behind us.

She again reached for a shirt. "Cause I'm coming at you like a dark horse."

The lady stomped her foot and walked to the front counter and grabbed the cashiers attention.

"Excuse me sir. Do you have the radio on?"

"No, I'm sorry. We don't play the radio here."

"Look here. Quit messing with me or my buiness here will be moved elsewhere!"

"I can promise you we don't have radio here.."

"Then why is Katy Perry blasting her lungs out?"

With that Katy and I burst out laughing and fell out of the rack.

As the lady and cashier turned around Katy grabbed my hand and started belting Birthday.

"So let me get you in your birthday suit. It's time to bring out the big ballons..."

Katy trailed off and ran out of the store laughing with me trailing behind.

Katy and I continued laughing until we reached the food court.

Oh god that game was fun.

Katy looked at me excited.

"Lunch Time!"
