Chapter 5 *What goes up, must come down

As a kid, I always loved carnivals. All the bright lights, good food and the many rides and booths you get to indulge in. This feels like childhood. As we enter the carnival, we were greeted by a lot of people flooding the area. Bright lights were present everywhere. I took in the view, screams from people on the ride, the laugh shared by groups and the prizes that were hung on the wall. I wanted to try every ride. I can't hide the feeling of excitement. Then..... *grrrrrbrrr*. My tummy decided to make it's presence known. "Let's feed that hungry beast shall we?" Chris mused. "Sorry." I said.

It was past six when we got off the yacht. We decided to eat at the carnival and enjoy the rides. We saw a booth that was having barbecue, this caught our appetite. When the food came to our table, I immediately grabbed my pork belly and chewed on to it. I didn't notice that my friends were looking at me like I haven't eaten in years. "Geez Ki, slow down.." Car informed. "I can't help it, I'm starving. Chris just smiled at this gesture. He was across me. I just can't help but notice that his eyes twinkle in the moonlight matched with that amazing smile. Well I'm just stating a fact here people. I continued to gobble down the food. Others were busy recounting the events that happened awhile ago at the yacht. Apparently, Ken had a wardrobe malfunction. When he jumped into the water, his shorts went floating about. It was really hilarious. "Please forget about that!" He had this annoyed and embarrassed tone. We all laughed at his "accident".

"So which ride do we go first?" Marc announced. "I'll go to the Octopus ride. Who's coming?" Jayden announced. I was clearly not in the mood for a headache and spinning is not an option. "I'll go." Car spoke up. "Shall we go then mademoiselle? After you." Jayden said. Car cheerfully went. "We'll catch up with you guys later." Marc said. "See ya 'round." R said with a big smile. Okay so that leaves the three of us. "I don't wanna be caught up in this pairing game, so I'll go to the Shoot n' Dunk. See ya!" Ken went swiftly without a word from us.

Okay so that leaves the two of us. "I guess it's the two of us then?" Chris said. It wasn't actually a question so I just shrugged and smiled. "So where to first?" He asked. I was scanning through all of the rides until something caught my eye. "Okay, ferris wheel it is." He stated. No please not the ferris wheel. I'm scared of heights, like I will cry if I ever get on that thing. I don't want him to know my weaknesses so I decided to fake an excuses or delay the ride. "I have to go to the bathroom, uh sorry, too much info. Just wait here." I informed him. "Ah okay, I'll just stay right here." I nodded to him.
