                  Venus' POV

I was woken up by someone opening my door and slowly closing it. My heart started beating REALLY fast. I opened my eyes and it was pitch dark. The only light came from underneath the door.

Whoever opened my door, began to walk closer to my bed. Their shoes hitting the floor softly.

I silently cursed myself for having my back facing the door. After a moment the person stopped at the foot of the bed and sat down.

"Look what we have here." He whispered.

I couldn't move. I was to afraid to move, like I was paralyzed.

David put his hand on my calf and squeezed lightly. I pressed my lips tightly together, praying that I don't make a sound.

"I know you're not asleep, Venus. Your leg is tense ." He whispered.

"Look at me, darling. There's nothing to be afraid of." David pulls the blanket towards the end of the bed. Looking at me with a weird look in his eyes.

I did as told and sat up with my back to the head board and knees close to my chest. No matter what I would've done, he will force me to do it anyway. I have no say, when it comes to David.

Even in the dark, with little light, his blue eyes shun brightly. It's as if you look into them and you're held captive.

      The predator and its prey.

"There we go. Now I get to see your pretty face." He smiled as he stood up and walked closer.

He sat right beside me and I scooted to my right towards the wall. I cornered myself, but I felt safer, now that I had some distance between us.

He lays head back on the headboard and signs. I look towards the light coming from underneath the door. In some hope that my mother barges in. But I know it's false hope.

"Its been awhile hasn't it." It was more of a statement than a question. "I've missed you, you know. I miss hanging out with you, watching movies, playing games... I miss being close to you."

He laughs a little, "Tickling you until you couldn't breath. Staying up when your mother said not to. We always broke the rules."

He sits up and turns his body towards me. A smile playing on his lips. "We should do this more often. Ya know? Just me and you. Like the old times."

He moves closer to me, where only my pillow separates us. My breathing escalates as does my heart.
