Sorry guys. I've been having some issues, but here it is.

Venus' POV

There was a knock. Thinking that it was Jacob, I walk to the door and slowly open it. But, boy was I wrong. It was David.

"Hey there, Venus." He push the door open and walked right past me. My breath hitched. Why now? I closed the door and locked it.

David took off his jacket and took a seat on the couch, propping his legs on the coffee table. I slowly walked into the living room, fiddling with the tips of my fingers.

"W-what are you doing here?" I lightly talked. David glanced at me before grabbing the remote, turning down the volume. He then patted the steat next to him. I heisatated for a moment, but obeyed.

"Your dad wanted someone to be here with you, while Jacob was gone." You could tell by the way Daivd said his name, they had a history together or they at least knew each other. "And since I was in town, he called me." He ended with a smirk.

He patted my leg and stood up, walking in the direction of the kitchen. "So... whatcha been doing?" I could hear the refrigerator door being opened and glass clinking together.

"Umm...just watched some movies."

"Cool, cool." He had a can of Pepsi in his hand as he sat back down. "How long have you been here for?" He takes a drink and picks up the remote from the coffee table.

"A couple of hours." He hums in response. Finn walks in the living room slowly, eying the new person.

"Hey there, big guy." Finn lazedly walks over and sniffs David's hand. He jumps onto the couch, and middle cushion. Then, he lays his head down on his front paws. "Tired thing aren't ya?"

After a couple of minutes of the sound of the TV and the soft breathing of Finn, I broke the silence. "Did my dad tell you how long he would be?"

"Not really. Are you tryin' to get rid of me already?" He chuckled. I forced a small laugh. Yes

"No. He just never told me when he would be back." Not like I want him back. I cross my arms. And lean back into the couch.

"How about we play us a little game?" He smiles and pets Finns back.

"What kind of game?" I start to fiddle with my hands again. David seems to notice as he takes a drink, slightly smirking.

"I'll decide, you get the snacks, yeah?" I nod my head.

"Popcorn sound good to you? I don't want to raid Jacobs kitchen while he's gone." He waves me dismissively. I get up from the couch and make my way to the medium size kitchen. My socked feet slightly sliding against the tiled floor. I open all the cabinets looking for the popcorn, until I find it behind the bread on the counter.

I open the plastic and set the contents inside the microwave. I adjust the time and make the drinks. David another Pepsi and I, a can of Dr. Pepper. Once done I make my way back into the living room, beverages in both hands and popcorn supported by my right arm and torso.

"Thank you, darling." He stood from the couch and took his drink along with the popcorn and set them down on the table next to a rectangular shaped box. "I hope you like losing." He opens the lid and sets it aside on the floor out of the way.

An hour later the mood completely changed...

"Fuck!" David stood abruptly, causing the game pieces to go flying. I flinched and scooted towards the end of the couch. He began to pace the living room floor, every now and then running his hand through his hair in frustration.

"I-It's only a game..." I lightly whispered, just enough for him to hear me. He walked towards the couch and sat back down.

"I'm sorry, Venus. I shouldn't have acted like that. Will you forgive me?" He looked me straight in the eye. I nod my head. He smiled and patted my thigh.

"You're such a good girl, Venus. You know that?" He started to come closer. With my back on the armrest of the couch I have nowhere to go. "You're so forgiving. And kind. And beautiful." He caressed my cheek, like you would a infants.
