Quintus' father, Flaccus called him to the field early that day. Quintus got up and called his dog, Argus, "Come, Argus. We must go to the field." Argus followed.
Quintus and Flaccus worked all day. When suppertime came Scintilla, Quintus' mother, and Horatia, his Sister, had prepared the meal.
The next day Quintus went to school. He was walking in the road when he saw his best friend, Gaius, swinging from a tree. "What are you doing Gaius?" Quintus asked, "Hurry, we will be late for school."
And so the two boys set off for school. There they met Julia, Gaius' girlfriend.
All through the day their master (teacher) Flavius taught them there letters on the stone tablets. At the end of the day Quintus went home and helped his father on the field.
