"Hey, Mel, guess what happened today." I tell Melanie after school.

"Does it involve Magcon or..?"

"Yes, it does." I deadpan. Melanie squeals.

"Eek! Okay, go on," Melanie grins.

"Well, they invited me to go to Magcon for no apparent reason!" I say. "We're leaving tonight."

"Oh. My. Fucking. God." Melanie screams. "EEEEEEEK! YES, MY DREAMS HAVE FINALLY COME TRUE!! AAAAH!"

"Yeah, you're totally invited!" I say. I wasn't leaving without my best friend.

"Oh my God, thanks! This is officially, the best day of my life. Eep!" Melanie grins happily, hugging me tightly.

"Aha, okay, let go now.." I say, prying her off.

"Sorry, I'm just so excited!" Melanie bounces on the bed.

"Okay, whatever. I gotta pack now." I say, going to my walk in closet. I take a few of my suitcases and put them on my bed, opened.

"Wait, don't I have to pack too?" Melanie asks. I nod.

"Yeah, but we leave at around eleven o'clock. You have plenty of time." I say. It was only three. I go into my closet and grab a bunch of clothes.

"Ew, no, you are not bringing that if you want to impress Carter." Melanie looks disgustedly at the shirt I was folding.

"What? This is cute. And I am not trying to impress Carter," I say. Melanie snorts, standing up and grabbing the shirt from my hands.

"Let the professional handle it." Melanie says, emptying my suitcase.

"Elise, let's go." Carter whispers. I nod.

"Yeah yeah, whatever," I grumble, climbing into my car.

"Oh, your driving?" I nod. "Well, I was thinking we could carpool. Y'know, save gas."

I sigh. "Sure, but you have to stop by Melanie's house."

"Oh, you invited her?" Carter asks. I confirm his question, and put my stuff in the trunk. I go into the passenger seat. He turns the radio on loudly, and drives quickly to Melanie's house after I gave him directions.

"Oh.. heh, hi Carter!" Melanie chirps. She goes into the backseat, and smiles.

"Hey, guys."

"Aye, Carter!"

"Carter, my man!"

"Hey, Carter!"

The boys I met earlier greet Carter while Melanie and I watch. Well, while Melanie watches. I'm playing on my phone. Melanie's jaw was dropped, and she looked like she was about to drool.

"Uh, Mel?" I close her mouth with the back of my hand.

"Hmm? Yeah?" Melanie snaps out of her daydreaming. I sigh exasperatedly. I continue playing on my phone.

"Hey, where's Jack and Taylor?" Carter asks, confused.

"Jack J or Jack G?" Nash asks.

"Jack J, duh. Jack G is in California, remember? And what about Taylor?" Carter says. Nash nods.

"Oh yeah," He mumbles.

"I don't know. They said they were coming later. Maybe they're stuck in traffic?" Matthew shrugs.

"Hey guys!" Taylor smiles, with his arm wrapped around Hannah's shoulder. Wait what?

"Jack.. who's the girl?"

"That's Hannah. Right, Taylor?" I interrupt.

"Uh, I'm Jack.."

"Jack, why did you bring her along?" Jacob asks.

"I dunno. She seems like a cool girl. Besides, she likes Magcon! Bonus.." He added the last word quietly. Ha, it's pretty obvious that Taylor likes Hannah. But doesn't Hannah like Jack? I'm confused. Or maybe Hannah's just using Taylor to get closer with Jack! Wait, no, that's too diabolical. Hmm..

After a long time of waiting, we left the airport at about one in the morning.

"Hey, Hannah..?" I mumble sleepily.

"Yeah?" Hannah says, fully awake.

"I thought you liked Jack.. not Taylor." I remark.

"Uhm, Elise, he is Ja -"

"No.. pretty sure it's Taylor." I say, before falling asleep.
